List your place
You can list your entire apartment or a single room on Wimdu in just a few easy steps.
You decide the full details of your listing, including the price and your own house rules. And if you like, Wimdu can even assist you with taking photos and translating the description of your place.

Receive bookings
You'll receive booking requests from guests from all over the world! These requests will appear in your Wimdu profile.
It's completely up to you which guests you accept into your home, and which requests you decline. Before you can accept a guest's request, you can check out their profile and reviews, or contact them via our chat system.

Welcome your guests
Guests should be greeted in person where possible. This way, you can hand over the keys, show them around your place and explain the house rules.
It's up to you what kind of service you offer your guests, and how much time you want to spend with them.

Receive your payment
24 hours after your guests arrive, we will automatically transfer your payment to your Paypal or bank account. Since Wimdu takes care of the transaction, your payment is safe.

Leave a review
After your guests leave, you can write a review about them. We also encourage guests to leave a review about your place.

Wimdu hosts earn on average €900 per month – while they sleep! With this extra income you could pay your rent, finance your next trip away or fund your education.

You specify the conditions
With Wimdu, you specify all of the conditions of your listing, including the price, the number of guests, the rental period, the cancellation policy, cleaning fees and pet policy.

Your details are safe
No one other than the guests you have confirmed has access to your full name or your contact details. Only your first name and the general location of your place on the map will be visible on the website.

There‘s no uncertainty about who will be staying at your place, as you get to choose your guests: young couples on a weekend away, business travelers or groups of friends that want to discover a city together.

Free photo service

Insurance
Insurance policy
The guest who books the place is insured, as well as their spouse and children. The insurance is effective as long as the guest is not covered under their own insurance policy, or is unable to receive settlement through their own insurance policy.
Deposit
Minor damages can be settled quickest between the guest and the host on-site. Therefore it is sensible to request a deposit from guests, in order to insure your belongings against minor damages. Deposit payments cannot be made to Wimdu but must be specified in the listing in advance, including the desired payment date for the deposit.
Availability
Currently this insurance is only available for hosts in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. In the future we hope to extend the insurance policy to other countries.
In the event of damages
If your guest does not have insurance that will cover the cost of the damages, you can report the damages to our Customer Services Team via email (insurance@wimdu.com) or by telephone (+49 (0)30 201 633 10). A professional team will aim to resolve your case quickly.
