we had a nice holiday! the flat is very beautiful and clean.
it it not far from tower brige, about 20 minutes
Had a nice stay in London.
The flat is a bit outside but with a very good connection to the city via overground/underground and bus.
The room, presidential suite, was good. Very big, but too noisy, because of the street and with a lot of sirens because of a hospital nearby. Could hardly sleep there.
Would prefer another room next time, much smaller but to the back, there you don't here anything of the traffic. ;-)
The shower is very small but works fine, the toilet with a bin is separate which is very good since there are five rooms which have to spare them.
(The flat was well booked as we arrived, but there wasn't a problem about queuing in front of the bath anytime.)
The kitchen can be used, you have your own space in the fridge and there are enough plates and stuff.
Would book a room again, but next time one that faces the back. ;-)
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was as expected and the room had a perfect size for four persons. We never got to meet Sidney, but he was very helpful upon our arrival. It was easy finding the place and the keys, and we enjoyed very much that we could take bus number 453, which stops near almost all of the citys biggest attractions, directly from just outside the apartment. That made everything very easy and convenient.
I would definitively reccomend this place to anyone else going to London.
GREAT space nice clean shower and toilet. The road on the window side was quite noisy at night. But with some good earplugs we will book it again possibly. The apartment was really close to the metro overground station from where you are fast to any place in town in a sec. Thnx a lot!
Very clean!! Great location! Could not have asked for a better room for the price! :)
we (4 girls!) stayed for one week at Helena Square 25. The accomodation is located in a very good area of London very close to the river Thames and the Thames Path to London City. It was clean, we had a kitchen with all necessary things, fresh towels and bed linen, hairdryer...
At the moment there is a warm water-problem, but Sydney explained us, how to use the warm water, so that everything was at least fine. He also helped us with the minicab and gave us all the information we needed. Thank you very much, I do recommend this accomodation and Sydney as well as a good host. I'm sure that I'll return to this place...
Best Wishes, Fatma
In the beginning we were a bit disappointed, as nobody was there nor reachable on the phone as we arrived and it took some time to get into the appartment (we would suggest to make a fixed arrangement). Further we would have preferred to know that the way from the overground station to the appartment is quite long with heavy suitcases.
But then everything was all right: Sidney is a kind guy and gave us good instruction for the appartment. All equipment was at present and working, beds were good and we appreciated very much the wooden floor in the rooms. With 5 people it was no problem to get along, having two bedrooms and a sofa in the living room. Maybe one or two reading lights for the evening would be helpful and the fixing of the shower needs a repair.
From New Kent Road there are a lot of busses to the center of London, you'll get everywhere easily and can get into contact with different kind of people.
We can remmoned Sidneys appartment especially to other families who are not keen on having lots of night life nearby. If you are looking for a base to visit London for reasonable value-for-money it is definetely all right.
We enjoyed our stay and the room was clean and fitted out with only the bare essentials but we really didn't need any more than that. The bathroom and shower were very clean and we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that we could have used the kitchen for breakfast or to make a hot drink if we had been better prepared. One small criticism: there was only a central naked bulb in the room, which gave a harsh light and the impression of being in a storeroom! It would have been much nicer if there had been at least a lampshade on the light. We would have welcomed bedside lights too. However that said, we would most certainly visit again as our impression was overall a positive one.
Sidney is a very friendly and helpfull person. the flat was a bit crowded but the room was good and clean. Quiet neighbourhood. Shops and bus / subway stations are within a short distance.
Sidney is a kind guy and a good host.
Unfortunately the water heater had just broken down when we arrived and that caused some troubles when we wanted to take a bath.
The area Rotherhithe where the apartment is placed is pretty nice and I can recommend it.
