This a a spacious double room with build-in wardrobes. You are welcome to use all the facilities this house has to offer! We have a huge living area and a kitchen where you can prepare meals.
I have some other rooms in the same house, have a look at my other listings as well!

On that note, I am a couchsurfer (as a host and traveller), I have experience culture exchange and vagabonding through Europe and Asia and know what it is like to need a home after living out of your suitcase. House Rules

To be followed by all residents and their guests.
Please use your common sense and curtesy to ensure others feel comfortable living in the house

1. Please use common courtesy and be considerate of others living with you:
■ please keep common areas (eg kitchen and bathroom etc) tidy after you use it
■ please keep the noise down so as not to disturb others
■ please be considerate of others when using the bathroom if others are waiting

2. Keep the Noise Down after 11pm:
■ when listening to music or movies in your room after 11pm please use earphones
■ please refrain from using the kitchen after 11pm. if necessary, please use it quietly
■ please refrain from talking loudly (eg on the mobile phone etc) in your room after 11pm
■ please switch to silent mode or turn down your mobile phone ring tone if you know that you will be receiving a lot of phone calls after 11pm
■ please turn down the volume of the TV after 11pm
■ please close the door quietly (ie do not slam the doors)

3. Be clean and tidy
■ please keep the common areas clean and tidy after you use it
■ please wash up after you use the kitchen
■ please keep the bathroom/toilet clean after you use it
■ please keep the laundry area clean after you use it
■ please do not keep plates, cups and other kitchen utensils etc in your room; please wash them up and put them back in the kitchen.

4. Garbage
■ PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY RUBBISH BEHIND IN THE KITCHEN OR IN THE COMMON AREA.
■ Please dispose your garbage in your own garbage bin provided in your room, you are responsible for your own rubbish bin and to take the rubbish out to the main bin.
■ Please use your own kitchen bin while using the kitchen and you are responsible to dispose of your kitchen bin rubbish


5. Laundry
■ Please do not leave any clothes in the laundry machine after you are finished.

6. Guests
■ Strictly NO guests after 11pm
■ guests are welcome but please be considerate of others when inviting over your guests
■ Any damage caused to the house and properties by your guests are payable by you
■ FOR COMFORT, PRIVACY AND SAFETY OF OTHER HOUSEMATES, NO GUESTS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY OVERNIGHT / SLEEPOVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE ONLY EXCEPTION OF HOLIDAY FAMILY VISIT OUTLINED BELOW

7. Holiday Family Guest Visit Stay
■ We understand that your family member may want to visit you and stay with you for the period. However, strict rules will apply in regard to family guest visit
■ Extra boarding fee of $70 per week will apply and paid by you or your guest in advance of stay
■ Family guest are to observe all rules that applies to all housemates, be courteous towards other housemates and keep noise to the minimal level.
■ You are to arrange for your own sleeping arrangement within your own room for the guest
■ Please give at least 2 weeks notice before your guest stays
■ We reserve the right to deny the visit at any time without giving any reason


8. Rentals
■ ALL RENTALS MUST BE PAID 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE, ON TIME AND IN FULL (NO EXCUSES)
■ you must give at least 3 weeks notice when you are moving out
■ 4 weeks Security Money is required for upfront security. Security Money will only be refunded in full when the inspection of the room is satisfactory and all keys returned and there is no outstanding payment/repair/replacement cost to be made. Otherwise deduction of security money will occur for any outstanding payment/repair/replacement cost. Your effort in returning all keys and keeping the room in its original condition will mean prompt refund of your Security Money upon your departure, otherwise security money maybe withheld until everything has been accounted for.

9. Holiday Period Discount
■ Holiday period discount applies if you are going away for more than one week
■ if you are away (eg holidaying, visiting home etc) for up to 7 nights, full rental still applies. then your rental on and after the 8th night will be discounted by $10/per week.

10. Security and Personal Belongings
■ please work together to ensure that all external doors and windows are secure at all times
■ we are not responsible for your personal belongings (including theft etc)
■ you are responsible for the safekeeping of your own personal belongings

11. Departure
■ Once a departure date has been agreed, any extensions to this date will only be granted if no new person has been found to stay in your room.
■ The key to your room and house will be provided to you. You are required to return all keys when you leave. Please do not lose the keys, as you will have to pay for any replacement costs. Replacement cost for the room key will be $10, and $50 for the house main key.
■ You are required to leave your room in a clean and tidy condition for the next person (ie leave the room in the same clean and tidy condition as how it was given to you), IF your room is required to be cleaned then the cost of cleaning will be paid by you. A standard $50 cleaning fee will be charged and deducted from your Security Money to have a cleaner to be called to clean your room
■ You are also required to clean up your OWN storage spaces in the COMMOND AREA. Again, IF a cleaner needs to be called, a standard $50 cleaning fee will be charged
■ When you are leaving, you are not to leave any rubbish or unwanted furniture behind in any part of the house, including the front or back yard. They are your responsibility to dispose them. Council fees will be charged and deducted from your Security Money if Council needs to be called for rubbish to be taken away by council. Please plan ahead before you are leaving and dispose of your rubbish in a proper manner instead of dumping.
■ Amounts may be deducted to cover any costs required to return the room to its original condition

Double Room in North Shore Family Home

Lovely house and great company. Gives you your privacy but always happy to help and up for a chat, whether it be helping you to know where to go and what to see, or a friendly debate on a variety of topics over a nice meal :). Pleasure staying here and hope to return later on in our trip.

Donny is a very friendly host. The house is close to Gordon Station which makes it easy to go into the city of Sydney and around.
The double bedroom is a walk through room. My friend and I shared another room which was much smaller but okay, too.
The area is nice and quiet.
Donny and his parents were very friendly and helpful all the time.
