Amazing Apartment (644)

Stylish Apartment with Great View (689)

The apartment is quite spacious and bright and close to everything – 5 min on tram 5 to MuseumPlein and maybe 8-10 to Central Station by bus 18. The building is quiet and on the canal with that historical windmill that adds character. A balcony is definitely a bonus – you can see boats passing by. First floor and elevator are great for those having difficulty with Amsterdam steep stairs. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking (minus coffee-maker – broken, but hopefully will be fixed by the time you get there): lots of pots and pans and spices. Wi-fi works really well. Overall we had a nice stay, though the apartment would definitely benefit from a facelift and more thorough cleaning.
What you may or may not realize is that you’re not dealing directly with the owner, but with a middleman - http://www.amsterdamstay.com/ , and they also employ other companies for checking you in, having your luggage stored in case you come early etc. We didn’t know that at the time of booking and realized only after. Checkout is not earlier that 3 pm; if the apartment is available earlier, you have to pay $40 for early check-in. We arrived at 6am and were offered to store our luggage at some storage that didn’t have a working elevator; we had to haul the suitcases to the 5th (!) of an old house (just leave your suitcases at Amsterdam Centraal – same price, no stairs). But the major setback was directions to our place – very confusing and sometimes wrong. When we finally got to the place 10 min after 3pm (check-in time), our greeter already left, and we had to call him and wait. When he showed up, he told us, that we could’ve had the place at 12pm with no extra-charge. Go figure...
After that rocky beginning, we had a great stay. We were lucky to be with the whole city when Holland played Mexico at the MuseumPlein – you can’t wish for more...

Charming and Central Flat (539)

Centrally located with everything within walking distance. Apartment clean and well equipped. We were on the fourth floor (by choice) but others should be aware there are a lot of stairs. The terrace unfortunately resembled an ash tray and need to be cleaned.

Central Apartment with Roof Terrace (780)

Amsterdam, regardless of time, is a beautiful historic city both at architectural level, on a human scale. Multiple means of transport are amazing: bike, boat, bus, tram, train, car, taxi cycle.De Schiphol airport to Amsterdam city center there is the train, the cheapest is, € 4.50 a One or 9 € to /. The station is in the airport. A train every hour to 15 minutes drive to the city center. (For information, For our return to Paris, takeoff at 7:15 am, we took a train to Centraal Station (Gare downtown Amsterdam.) At 4:45 to arrive at the airport at 6:00.). Pervious channels the city are beautiful, the houses are typical and colorful, with large openings bringing a flood of light. The city center is dedicated solely to bicycles and pedestrians. The tourist office that it is opposite the train station. If you like museums, there is the wax museum Madame Tussaud located on Dam Square, the Rijksmuseumet, the Van Gogh Museum are not far from each other, the Anne Frank House . The flower market, Dam Square, the Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis) and next to the palace Niewe Kerk (New Church), which is beautiful, the Begijnhof (Beguine) a haven of peace amid the bustle of the city, Central Station (Centraal Station) and of course a boat to give an overview of this beautiful city and a little history on architerture. There are many boat around the city. For our location, we are listed on the site Windum: Central apartment with roof terrace (780)
When we arrived, our host was Frank. Person very attentive, fluent in French. Little care, and available for any questions or concerns material. Extra apartments, spacious, very bright, with a beautiful terrace on the roof, very comfortable beds, we were six people for each couple a single room; very large bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub; separate toilet; bit noisy apartment despite its location in the popular Red Light District. Warning, this apartment is not suitable for children, elderly or disabled as access to three floors is very steep narrow stairs with three steps.
We had a great time, and it is certain that we will return.
Thank you again Floor, Franck and Widum.

Amazing Amsterdam Apartment (803)

Positives: The apartment is located about 10 minutes by tram from the train station. L 'abitazione si trova a 10 min. (Con il tram) dalla stazione.
Negatives: The problem is not that the apartment is old rather the condition: dirty, smelly, the heating does not work, electrical cables hanging under dripping broken radiator in the kitchen was none Licht.Wir were glad to leave this apartment safe and sound . Trovatevi un 'altra sistemazione: l'appartamento e' sporco, riscaldamento non funziona il, le prese di corrente e sono gli interruttori pericolosi vecchi e non funzionanti.

Cozy and Peaceful Apartment (844)

We spent 4 wonderful days in a big house and cozy even for our little 11 month old baby who enjoyed going up and down on the large sofa soft carpet. The house is complete with everything, including games, cot, high chair and children's meals. They can quickly reach the city center of Amsterdam by public transport and at the same time is in a quiet area of the city. The owner was patient for our unexpected delay and we kindly explained the use of each appliance. Greeted us with a smile and was very friendly. Next year will definitely be back!

Amazing Amsterdam Apartment (803)

The apartment is located in a great area - quieter than the center but still-especially with borrowed wheels-very central. Beautifully situated on a canal. Everything went smoothly - Apartment clean, bathroom clean, everything you could need. Only the coffee was relating something, well, dirty. But that extra sheet over it and also no longer a problem. And the small balcony of the courtyard beyond is also very fine!
