This Loft in Brooklyn is really great. Thanks to Shell, it were pleasant and nice holidays for us. I´ll like to say we will come back one day and stay again. Nice place, nice people. Greetings Ines and Michael from Dortmund.

Great alternative to hotel stays. Shell is a very open-minded person and very helpful. For us, the main location was crucial, because our daughter in walking distance has an au pair engagement. Shell also makes a brunch once a month for their international friends and guests, due to time constraints we were able to experience unfortunately. The only downside: There is only one bathroom with toilet for all residents and the loft is very loud!

If someone wants to know what a loft, he has to come here. The loft is furnished with taste and love. Shell is a great hostess. On the first Sunday we used to go to a flea market. Also, contact with other students or guests was warm and beautiful. The neighborhood is safe - I have to come back because I have not seen it all and can only recommend Loft Shell and her :)

Absolutely loved my stay at Shell's loft, I didn't want to leave. If your after a true Brooklyn experience, this is the place to stay. The loft is amazing, plenty of room, beautifully decorated, comfy beds and equipped with everything you need. As I was travelling on my own, it was great to meet the other travellers renting the other rooms. Will be recommending Shell's place to everyone I know passing through Brooklyn.

Although we found ourselves mostly outdoors in the sunniest autumn I've ever seen, we very much enjoyed being able to come 'home' to Shell's. She always made us feel welcome and most days when we came home there was a bunch of nice people standing around the kitchen talking and socializing, which added to the experience. The saddest thing about our trip was having to leave right when Shell was preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Bummer. Only one thing to keep in mind maybe: our room was not sound proof and we could hear mostly everything that was going on around us (and people probably heard us...). We never mentioned anything to Shell because it never bothered us much (sure she would have done something about it if she could) but if you're a light sleeper, probably best to ask about that up front. Overall very positive experience, would recommend to anyone.

We (my son, 17 years and I) have spent about a week at Shell and can recommend you and your loft really. She herself also lives in one of the rooms around the huge and very beautiful loft. It is in a convenient and unobtrusive way always for your guests, whether for tips on sightseeing program or if other daily life, such as additional bedding or planning a joint dinner with the residents of the lofts are on the schedule. It creates in the best sense a "residential community atmosphere" that we have enjoyed with the other guests very. We will, when we come back to New York definitely book again at Shell, because to experience this way, New York was really great!

We've stayed at Shell's huge loft a couple of nights and were thrilled. Not only the apartment is unique, located in a very quiet street of Brooklyn, but the host couldn't be warmer or friendlier. She offers her guests a special treat every day, home made by herself and even taught us how to prepare honey-butter which we've loved. You can tell she loves what she does. We would strongly recommend it to anybody looking something cozy and if ever in New York again we hope to stay there.

We simply LOVED our stay at Shell's. Me & my 7yo son stayed for a week, and had perfect holidays both at home(people and the setup really make it feel like your home in Brooklyn!) and going out to Manhattan/Brooklyn with great access to G&C lines. And the neighborhood is great, too, with many hip cafes and delis just around the corner! If you want more than just staying in a normal hotel, and if you enjoy making new friends from all over the world, this is definitely where you should go for :)
