Cihangir Flat Full of Charm

We can highly recommand this charming flat! Everything is there to feel at home at once, just perfect. Shellie is a very helpful and pleasant host, we received all the informations needed. The area in which the flat is located is such a great place to be, many cool locations just around the corner... Tramway in walking distance.

A well accomodated flat in a very lively neighbourhood with lots of nice restaurants nearby. The light rail that brings you easily to all Istanbuls hotspots is not far away. We were warmly welcomed by our host with helpful practical suggestions and all we needed for our first breakfast.

The host is very sweet, they really think of everything. She even had breakfast on the first day purchased! The apartment was clean and nicely furnished and the shower was even better than at home.

A really nice flat in one of the hippiest places of current Istanbul. We had everything we needed in the flat. Whenever there was a problem we could communicate to our host. The flat has a wonderful atmosphere and is really near to the most interesting Clubs, Bars in Taksim.

We had a wonderful time in Shellie's pretty and very comfortable apartment. Cukurcuma is a totally charming neighbourhood with endless antique shops, cafes, restaurants and places worth visiting like the Museum of Innocence. Shellie's recommendations were also great - specifically the Journey and Savoy restaurants. Overall, it was an exhilarating experience.

Very friendly welcome by the hostess Shellie. Everything has worked out fine. The apartment is super quiet, yet centrally located. Pretty Wohung on three floors, everything is available and all technical facilities worked well. In addition to the very spacious master bedroom, the second bedroom is rather small on the ground floor. The street lamp generously donates some light into the two bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay with our two daughters in the tastefully furnished apartment in the very pleasant area. We can really recommend the apartment. Thank you very much for your hospitality Shellie.

A wonderful island in a vibrant quarter. Perfect organization, bright and clean rooms, good documents and guides about Istanbul. A place to come back.

we had a great time in shellies wonderful flat. the view over the bosporus was breathtaking (you could even see the hagia sophia) and all the neighbours in the house are very friendly! shellie was a very nice and helpful host (even though we broke a glass-door by accident...). the flat is just a short walk away from taksim-square and the tram-station. thanks to shellie again! go visit istanbul in one of her great flats!

We had a great time in Istanbul. We did not meet Shellie in person, but her business partner. She was very nice and helpful. When we had a power failure she called an electrian, and he was there within 5 minutes. We found the house comfortable and sufficiently clean. However, if you are sensitive to smell you won't feel too well there. In the bathroom the odour trap is not working properly. What also might be of interest for other guests is this: there are two bedrooms in the house, one in the basement and the other one on the first floor. The bedroom on the first floor is the master bedroom; it has a king-size bed and is tastefully furnished. The bedroom in the basement is sparse, though. A queen-size bed is squeezed into a corner with two very small windows at the front end. So if you stay in the house as a foursome you will probably want to toss for the bedrooms. At least this is what we did. However, we were happy in Shellie's house. It is perfectly locoated in a very charming area of Istanbul, with lots of restaurants and antique shops just around the corner, and it really invites you to feel at home.
