Very nice Residence in the Center

The apartment on the 3rd floor of the 8 House Residence is centrally located about 10 minutes from Taksim Square. You can catch all the major metro and bus lines. When we arrived in the evening, we were overwhelmed by the beautiful view of the large mosques that are located in the district Sultanamet. Very nice we found the opportunity to use the roof terrace and to relax after a long day there. However, the terrace (upholstery dirty and uninviting by sapling totally dried up) was not maintained at the time of our visit. It definitely missing a person who lovingly cares for the object. The apartment is well laid out and nicely furnished, asking everything you need for a few days. The bathroom left a lot to be desired. The drain of the shower was clogged, so the water took several hours to drain away. We had to draw the water over a small hump, to let it flow out through the second drain below the sink, which was laboriously ziemllich! Had we not done so, we would have been forced to go to the toilet "wadding" that was located near the shower. The toilet was in the shower only separated by a curtain from the shower. This curtain was not clean but at the bottom front of black mold! A regular maintenance of the bath (and shower curtain drain) would make the otherwise simple bathroom very useful.Unfortunately, the young man spoke at the reception (when he was there, which was extremely rare) very little English, so our efforts to portray him our wishes went into the sand. We had asked for an extra bed: the folding bed, which was made available to us was miserable, so one of us had to sleep on the hard couch. An extra bed sheets was not going to get because you did not understand us! Last should learn that a mosque located in the immediate vicinity of the houses, which means that you will be woken around 5 clock in the morning from Muezin potential prospects. To the road is a thoroughfare for taxis, which means a certain noise level. Luckily we had with Ohrstöpssel, so we were still able to sleep. We have taken this Unannehmlicheiten with humor, but would not necessarily recommend the apartment and the location. There are certainly better options for the price! The apartment is ideal for the price reasonable, and for two people. The living area is furnished. The decor is ok if you do not want to cook great (a hot plate, kettle). For this one has not far to Taxim Square and Istiklal Street at the very small bathroom to get used to the best beach shoes with you (toilet in the shower area - with curtains, but the soil is first wet), and remember that there is not much footprint is. The apartment had a nice quite a large terrace, which in good weather is certainly very nice. Although centrally located, it was not too loud. Overall, the apartment is highly recommended for a visit to Istanbul in the price range anyway.

Housing is not easily accessible and away from the center. It does not lie in the range luxury and quality / price ratio is a little high. The place is very clean, bright and spacious for 2 people. The WCS are in the shower tray and no shower mat ... For the kitchen, the equipment is sufficient to prepare breakfast (microwave oven), but no more. Otherwise no lock to our room but we did not need. In conclusion, very welcome and prices a bit high.

Good appartment for 2 persons, quit, good welcome. A little bit too small for 4 persons

Very good location, apartment is nice and big enough for 2 - 3 or 4 bit too small. Bathroom is very small, with no hooks or shelves. Bring better sheets. 3 persons were not enough linens / bedding available. No coffee. The best part is the roof terrace, which can be used by all guests.

Beautiful apartment, well located, beautiful roof terrace with fantastic views over Istanbul and the Golden Horn. A friendly welcome and assistance of Ipek. We were 2 adults and 2 children. Therefore the size of the apartment ranges barely. The Indicative and suggestion for improvement: The bathroom fixtures are corroded and need to be renewed. HTH Robert Schroll

The residence is in a strategic location, a five minute walk from Istiklal Street, but in a way few tourists, very authentic. The house is comfortable and reasonably equipped, also in four spaces are adequate. The terrace is truly remarkable, for the breathtaking views and the comfort of the sofas that allow you to spend pleasant moments of relaxation after busy days of sightseeing. And, of course, Istanbul is wonderful.

Nice flat in a very nice area. The real turkish life is in this street and around ! Even if our flat arrived very late, our host was waiting for us. Thank you !

We - a couple with 2 teenagers - had a fine 22nd sitting during Ipek in the Room The room was kept very clean, the floors mopped and fresh every 2nd Day we got fresh towels and fresh sheets. The next time you stay at Ipek we would still choose one floor up - Room 23! - The floors are poorly insulated and you can hear every step from the upper floor. In addition, the same is a mosque - the muezzin is heard five times a day - we enjoyed this, but that was also like ... The bathroom is very small: shower and toilet are in the same corner, ie for several people either shower or toilet. In the kitchen there is a stove - much cooking is not possible, but in Istanbul, you can go eat so great. The roof terrace is incredibly beautiful! It looks wonderful on the old town and the Golden Horn. Ipek is very hard, if you need anything (they are the same on arrival their phone number), otherwise it stays in the background. The location is perfectly quiet and you're really in a few minutes in the Istiklal, where day and night is something going on. We will come back safely.
