Location:
The small apartment house is situated in Stuttgart-Hoffeld, a quiet, safe and leafy district in Stuttgart's south, adjacent to the forest (with fitness trail). The distance to the airport / fair ground is 5 km (12 mins by car), 9 km to downtown and the main railway station (20 mins), 4 km to the Palladium Theatre (SI-Centrum Musical Hall) (5 mins by car), and 6 km to University Hohenheim.
Hoffeld’s little shopping centre with bank, supermarket, bakery, stationery, pharmacy, barber, doctor, and public bus station is located within a 3 minutes walking distance.
Accommodation:
Our flat consists of two apartments which have been joined together, resulting in a spacious two-storey living area. At the entrance level there is a wide, open living room with a beautiful view, which is used – together with the dinette – commonly by the host and the guests. On the garden level below, the apartments are separate; each part having its own private area with bedroom and attached bathroom.
Your spacious room (22 sqm) is provided with a bunk bed, a double bed on the lower level (1.40 x 2.00 m) and a single bed on the top (0.90 x 1.90 m). Of course the bed-linen will be supplied. There is also a desk with a private phone (individual phone number, flat rates to European, North American and Australian landlines). In addition, there is a free Wi-Fi for your laptop, which could be connected to the LCD TV set (international Sat TV and radio channels). A small suite containing a sofa, armchairs and a coffee table also make the stay in your private area cosy and comfortable. Your bath room has a large tub / shower and toilet; the towels are included. You have direct access from your room to your own private patio with a lovely garden; garden furniture is also available.
Tee / coffee is free; breakfast will be provided on request (costs 6.50 EUR per person).
We just rent this room; you don’t have to share your bathroom with us or with other guests. The room is not suitable for long-term rent.
Public Transport:
S-Hoffeld is connected by bus with S-Degerloch (5 mins), which provides a huge selection of further shopping facilities and restaurants. From there you could the direct subway or the rack railway “Zacke” to Stuttgart’s downtown (10 mins). During larger consumer shows, a non-stop bus is running between Degerloch and the nearby fair ground.
Private transport can be arranged on request (e.g. to the airport / fair ground, sightseeing spots, Tübingen, Metzingen, Ludwigsburg, Black Forest etc.).
Sightseeing:
Amongst Stuttgart’s most popular sightseeing spots are the Porsche and the Mercedes museums, Ludwigsburg Palace (one of Europe's most impressive and extensive Baroque complexes), the nearby Palladium Theatre with its famous musicals and shows, and the Christmas Market in December. The Outlet City Metzingen can be reached within 30 mins by car; shuttle buses are also available. Tübingen is also attractive with its historic medieval centre (40 km, 35 mins by car).
