Relaxing 'Cheminee' Room in Zurich

Everything that was promised was rejected. Door without a key and then privacy niente.Zona pedestrian to the point of leaving the car two countries, with consequent hike infinita.Non I stayed and lost all the money 615 euro buttati.GRAZIE!!!! !!!!!

We had a really good stay in the apartment ...

With regard to the property... Positives: * Property is up high in a forest setting with amazing views! * It is near a nice restaurant which also has stunning views of the mountains and valley. Great at sunset! * About a 20 minute train ride to the city centre. * Access to a washing machine and lines to dry clothes * Complimentary fruit, tea/coffee, bar fridge, towels etc provided. Great effort made to make this room nice and welcoming. Negatives: * No curtains or blinds. Other parts of the property are rented out so privacy was impossible. * No insect screens. We were there at the beginning of autumn and needed to keep door and windows closed as to not let mosquitos in. * Room is in the basement and it smelt musty. * There was no holder for the loose handheld showerhead. * As stated in the blurb, house is in a no drive zone. To get to the house, it is literally a track through the bush. It's okay going down the hill, but when we had to take our luggage back up the hill to the station when leaving, and it was very difficult. With regard to contact with the owner, there seemed to be some communication difficulties. We were not given a house number or street name, only directions to cross the track at the station. We were also under the impression that we would be picked up from the station based on the info given on Wimdu, however we were advised differently when we contacted upon arriving in Switzerland. We were also not given a key, but on day three we found a key in an inconspicuous place. It fit one of the key holes in the door but it did not seem able to lock the door. We may be mistaken, perhaps some clarification is needed on this? If the negative aspects were addressed, it would improve the Wimdu experience very much.

A quirky little apartment

A beautiful and clean house on the Uetliberg! Jacqueline was very nice and helpful and the connection (by train) to Zurich was also good.
