When we turned up, they told us they were overbooked so we were put up in a nearby apartment for the first 2 nights. That apartment was ok. The only problems were the annoying red light around the bed frame that could not be switched off. On a note of safety, the amplifier circuit (with a huge yellow sticker - warning high voltage) was very close to the bed and a big electrical hazard. The bathroom door didn't lock at all. After the 2 nights, they kindly moved all of our stuff into the apartment we had booked. Much better - amazing view over the city and nice bathroom with proper ventilation. There was little attention to maintenance / housekeeping in the second apartment: The cupboards in the kitchen were not properly stacked and the shower tray had a crack in the bottom which resulted in flooding of the bathroom floor every time you used the shower. The staff were nice and friendly - I think that was one of the highlights. The location is excellent. You are only about 4-5 minute walk from your door to the top of Istiklaal street. Would I stay there again ----- perhaps. Its not the best place I can think of but at the same time, I'm sure there's a lot worse.

The apartment was clean and well kept, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Having wi-fi, instant hot water, a kichenette and washer were perfect for my extended stay. Being within walking distance to a large number of shops and restaurants, as well as, public transportation made the location especially convenient. The property is in a neighborhood undergoing revitalization, so a traveler expecting a Park Avenue, New York experience might be put off, but I personally had no complaints. If you're looking to stay in Taksim and you really want to experience Istanbul, I'd recommend this property.

Room was clean and fine, location is great, the is genius and the price was real cheap. So: Perfect.

The accommodation was great, the service from the host as well.The room was well maintained and had a real small kitchenette with a kettle for coffee and a gas hob on the times we have also made our apple tea. The bathroom was clean and ok, so with the right shower tray and glass cabin and a clean toilet with no smell problem. Only the chlorinated tap water may have been used to for us, for southern and coastal regions of the country is probably normal. So we had to provide one of the many kiosks with drinking water every now and again. The More Residence was occupied throughout the day with an English-speaking employee who gladly helped us. The property is two blocks away from Istiklal Street shopping and entertainment mile but pretty quiet for Istanbul Located conditions (no main road). The room had a really good bed with new mattress which I think is the main thing when you are out all day. We spent a week at this property in Istanbul and found particular transport links very well, it is a 5 minutes walk to Taksim Square, from there you can go with the Istanbul-kart, it's a metro to Kabataş port (Prince Islands , Kadikoy, etc.) and also the T1 tram across the Galata Bridge to the historic old town. We could go to Sishane To get direction Galata Tower from Taksim Square to the Tünel little train or metro. Also we came back easily with the shuttle bus from there for 10TL per person back to the airport.
