Reviews of this property
From the very beginning I felt like being at home in Caroline s beautiful house. Everything was just perfect. Caroline and Elsie are very kind and uncomplicated and gave me lots of special tips. The room is spacious with a cosy athmosphere
and the bed is very comfortable. In the morning when I had my breakfast I enjoyed the spectactular view from the roof top.
West Hampstead is a lovely area with lots of interesting shops, supermarkets with freshly made food, cafes and a variety of nice restaurants. The bus station is just opposite the house and the tube station is only a short walk with easy access to Central London. I would highy recommend this place to anyone and I hope to come back very soon to enjoy the fireplace in the room which is indeed very special.
Caroline welcomed us into to her home whole heartedly and we felt at home there almost instantly.
The house is a fascinating modernised Victorian terrace, situated in a very interesting part of the London Suburbs, with plenty of Gluten Free options in both the local shops and restaurants.
Getting around from the house by Tube or bus was a breeze.
We are already looking forward to staying there again the next time that we are in London.
Even if we spend only one night at her house, we had the chance of seeing how Caroline and her family are kind, warm and helpful. The room is huge, luminous and full of books, and many little touches in it - like the water boiler and the tea bags, or the London guides on the bed table - show a lot of dedication to welcome visitors. And the neighbour is also very nice. So, totally recommended!
Caroline and Elsie are very nice and helpful, which one made the stay very pleasant. I was very comfortable and felt at home, even though I was in a strange city. This short time I'll certainly never forget her. Would this book again. Many thanks and best regards from Nuremberg (Germany) - Marco
The accomodation lives of the warmth Caroline shows her guests. We felt very welcome and the stay was very uncomplicated - we did not miss anything and it was all as expected and shown on the photos.
Even more, the many pictures on the walls and the way the house is designed from inside, even the interior made us feel living in a house of an artist.
We thought our stay was just great!
We had the best time.
Caroline and Elsie are lovely and always helpful.
Public transport was great
We would always go back!
We had a wonderful trip and this room made it absolutely perfect. Caroline and her daughter were so friendly and hospitable. But the best thing, especially in January, was that we had our own fireplace in the room.
We had a beautiful time in Caroline's house. It was only a very short stay, but we hads time enough to enjoy Caroline's company for a cup of nice tea.
Caroline is a very nice and interesting host as well as her house.
We will be back sooner or later.

Caroline and her daughter live in a cosy and to me typically English house, with lots of pretty things to see from vintage teapots to books in all rooms. The distance to the underground is ok, bus stops are practically just across or down the road, and there are lots of little cafés and restaurants in the area. One morning we got treated to croissants in bed, another morning Caroline drove me to the next underground station as the closest line wasn't working. She's also always there to give advice or directions, tips on things to see and for a little chat at the beginning or end of day. Staying in a place like this is exactly what makes all the difference to staying in a hotel.
