Always nice again in the southern

Accommodation was ok for the price, however the owner is not very friendly when I asked him to repair the heater ....

Nice little room. Central location and good transport links. The bathroom was not the cleanest straight but for the price you can not complain nich.

Basically, I was happy for that price quite usual standard. Perhaps it would be recommended only that the hosts to take care of the cleaning of the apartment (I pay myself also like 10 euros for it) and it is not the departing guests leave, that's, like me, unfortunately, in my pants. But after a Badgrundreinigung I felt comfortable and was able to enjoy the relaxing days in Cologne. Happy again. I admit, despite the absence 5 stars, just please: better control and cleaning. Thank you.

Small room in a great location. Appropriate for the competitive price.

Nice and simple

convenient location 350m from severinstrasse station on lines 3 and 4 and 450m from chlodwigplatz on lines 15 and 16. there are lots of shops, bars and restaraunts within a couple of minutes walking of the apartment. the apartment is sandwiched between two supermarkets (netto and rewe city), with an aldi and a kaiser's further up the road. the apartment itself is small and self-contained. there is a bunk bed, table with 2 chairs, a couch, fridge and kettle. When I stayed there was no TV or coffee maker (as stated in the room description). There is a small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The shower is hot and powerful. The toilet, however, is inadequate. It refuses to flush anything non-liquid, so you will have to swill it down using the kettle or a mug. The mattress on the bed was very comfortable. The bedding, however, could do with updating, as could the decor in general. Although generally-speaking a comfortable, warm and relaxing place to sleep whilst in Cologne, some small touches would improve it greatly - a toilet that flushes, a splash of paint. Also, there is plentiful wardrobe space with hangers, as long as you move the fur coats, dry cleaning and broom out of the way - it seems to be being used as a sort of storage/dumping area. The area is quite busy and noisy day and night - it is on a main road and a shopping street -, but this is part of its charm. You can buy all you want without leaving the street. If you want to walk to the cathedral, train station and main shopping areas, it's pretty much a straight walk left out of the apartment for 2km. It takes 20-25 minutes at the most and is well worth doing, as a single ticket on the underground would cost €2.70. All the best. The room is small, but nice. The location is excellent, the room was clean, the fresh Lake and it was quiet!

Maybe not as a holiday but as a cheap stay absolutely worth the cost. Good quality crockery and kettle up to bedding and towels. Keys organized and easy to use. Very good infrastructure with good shopping. Gladly again!
