Comfortable accommodation in the town center. Perfectly. Friendly and helpful owner. Ideal for all in a rustic 200 year old home to find happiness.

GREAT view to town and Bosporus, nice rooms, but bathroom is separate from room.

Fabulous location. Room overlooking the Galata Tower. Basic but clean. Available waiting until late in the ceck. Some misunderstanding, due to the lack of knowledge of the English language of the host (hopefully temporary) or the presumed low reliability '

Building is ideally located in a small busy street and nice neighborhood. Warm welcome Tamuna who speaks perfectly good English. The rooms of the apartment are adequate without being luxurious but the bedding is good. Small flat on the common area, rather small. Advantages: a nice view (in some rooms) on the Galata Tower, roof terrace with stunning views of Istanbul. Cons: 4 floors without elevator and stairwell uninviting. Apartment a bit dark ... I go back if I plan another trip to Istanbul!

We had just been celebrating three nights in this apartment. Although we loved Istanbul and had a fun weekend, we all had a shock when we entered the house. The bathroom and shared kitchen / living room were not there. There is an old dirty toilet, drawing had to be done by your hand in the cistern with water stop and catch in the bottom of a button. The bathroom was old and dilapidated shower cubicle. The rooms and hallways looked gray with dust and at night we were attacked by hordes of mosquitoes. A hor had been pleasant. The location of t apartment is fine, but we did have 6 long stairs with suitcases. The building itself is actually quite nice and is a lot of it, but this apartment has been completely neglected. Wifi is not, what is in the description.What we have experienced as annoying is that in July we had already arranged with the host that morning we were in the apartment since our plane landed at 5 o'clock in the morning. Two days before the new host showed us that check in was not flexible because a new owner and the cancellation policies were changed from flexible to strictly. We could just after 13:00 in the apartment. We had just selected apartments where this was not so. Cancel also could not. We have the best of it, but would recommend this apartment and not involved host to anyone. It's not expensive but clean apartment must be t and moreover we have found what we expected we saw the beautiful pictures.

Best location in Istanbul!

We were upgraded to a room with a view to really SPLENDID Sultanahmet (including Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia), the bosphorus and the Asian part of Istanbul. The room was commodious and the bed comfortable. The whole apartment is equipped simply but usefully and has a charming style. We got on very well with our flat mates and Anouk or another person was always reachable. The apartment is perfectly situated to explore the city by foot. We passed a really wonderful week in Istanbul! I'll return any time! We got a spacious room with high ceilings, some with ancient wall paintings and a breathtaking view! The rooms and apartments are simply furnished but not without a certain charm (ragtag furniture with period pieces here). It's all important and even a washing machine at your disposal. With our various roommates roommate we got along very well and thanks to the clear key for each room was the private sphere no problem. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Most of the sights are reachable on foot and walk if you does not feel like tram, metro and Fähranläger are in all directions in near-10min. The neighborhood is very vibrant and beautiful. Anouk or another person were always accessible. We were also able fellow users a great roof terrace in the opposite building. We really had a very wonderful stay and Galata House can only recommend!PS: In the summer mosquito repellent is recommended, as the windows do not close properly (not really what you would do anyway, because the light wind in the summer heat is a real treat).

We were delighted to stay in the Galata Roadhouse which is very well located in Beyöglü district. The room is quite basic but very quiet and comfortable for the price. The fact that Anouk is french speaking is definitely a plus, herself and team are by the way so great and welcoming ! I therefore highly recommend Anouk's place ;)

ideal location for a stay in Istanbul (very nice area). great rooms with a terrace on the roof where the view is breathtaking in the morning when the sun rises ... we were greeted by Adem which was a very nice host and humorous! address highly recommended, we'll ... Flo and François
