Stay in an historical area near to Design and Trend districts and go where the locals go, and you’ll get a fantastic picture. Chiado's currently trendiest district, or neighborhood Bairro Alto are walking distance and offer fabulous shopping and charming cafés. This area has recently been colonized by young designers who have opened up clothing boutiques and stationery and housewares shops.
