This 2 bedroom, 1 bath flat is located in the Liberty Hill Historic District, a charming neighborhood of Victorian homes situated between Noe Valley and the colorful Mission District.One and two night bookings or greater available on an individual basis. The unit is also located just a block away from the exciting Valencia Street neighborhood district, the gathering place for San Francisco’s tech hipsters. Valencia Street features many exciting cafes, ethnic restaurants and bars, galleries and shops as well as the Marsh Theater.

Nearby Mission Street is a unique blend of ethnic and modern. It features many interesting shops, taquerias and restaurants representing all the South American countries.

Right outside the front door of the flat is a fine collection of neighborhood pubs, restaurants and cafes. And two blocks away is the world famous Dolores Park offering an extensive new playground, panoramic city views, performances and great people watching experiences.

Public transportation options abound. There is a Bart stop located within a 10 minute walk. Bart is the Bay Area’s regional transportation system and provides quick access to downtown and the financial district as well as points in the South and East Bay. There are bus lines 2 blocks away on Mission Street and a J-Church Muni Metro stop 2 blocks away on Church Street. The flat is in an historic building constructed in the 1890’s. It features a bay window, high ceilings, decorative detailing, hardwood floors, ornamental and designer lighting and a working fireplace. The electrical and plumbing systems have been completely updated. The kitchen is newly renovated and includes a gas range, microwave, dishwasher, disposer and refrigerator with ice maker. It is fully equipped with cook and dinnerware.

Bedroom 1 includes 2 queen beds and 1 twin bed. Bedroom 2 includes queen bunk beds. There is a full sofa bed in the Living Room. The full bath includes a shower over a tub. There is WIFI and cable TV. Bedding and towels are included.

No smoking. Smoking in unit will result in $200 charge.

Historic Urbanity-Exciting Valencia

Very spacious apartment in a nice neighborhood. We were 6 people and there was enough room for all of us. BART station is in a walking distance and it was the fastest way to get to the downtown.

Hip & Edgy Valencia St. Apartment

This is a great house in a lovely area. There were 4 adults and 4 children and we all fitted comfortably. It may seem odd but the bar next door does a fantastic milkshake. There is a corner store just over the road very handy if you run out of anything. Mission Dolores Park is 5 minutes walk away and has a fantastic new playground. Handy hint if you cut to Valencia at 18th and back up to Guerrero at 22nd you avoid the big hill

Modernist Elegance in Castro/Noe

We spent almost two months in this apartment. Everything inside was as described in the advertisement in wimdu, with the exception of the kitchen area which now has a slightly (and more useful) layout. The rooms were clean and – for an apartment rented out – well kept.
The kitchen equipment included everything you need for cooking and drinking, although some of the dishes and cutlery initially made a greasy impression; however, running it once though the dishwasher solved the problem. Crockery may soon have to be replaced as some plates and dishes are missing.
The bathroom is not really very big, however, sufficient for our party of two and occasional guests.
There were two bedrooms, the master bedroom in the back of the apartment and not very bright as the window opened to a narrow space between two buildings. The second bedroom was in the front of the building towards Eureka Street and had big windows giving lots of light. On the other hand it was exposed to the noise of cars and buses passing by.
There are two more much larger apartments in the building that have a separate entrance below the main staircase which led to “our” apartment. Despite detailed description of the location of the second entrance many arriving guests (and delivery services) ended up in front of our door, which was sometimes annoying. Moreover, it seemed that new guests tend to celebrate at least their first evening in San Francisco; voices and the rumour of furniture like chairs moved around at late hours sometimes was very disturbing as the building is very clairaudient.
In situations as describes before the landlord had offered to call him at any time – what we did only once. It helped a lot. Also with other issues and requests that came up (small problems with the bed or the sofa) George was very responsive and made sure that these problems were solved quickly.
The neighbourhood – Castro – is very nice and we enjoyed a lot living here. There were three shopping areas in the neighbourhood, one in walking distance, two more somewhat more distant so that one may want to use public transport. Lots of bars and restaurants made the area even more attractive, not to forget the old Castro Theatre.
There is a bus stop almost in front of the house, three more in less than five minutes walking distance; the stop of Muni Metro lines and the historic F-line are in less than ten minutes walking distance. However, the way back from the Castro Station to the apartment is uphill.
Most buildings on Eureka and other adjacent streets are old Victorians and well kept. The outside of “our” building definitely is in need of some maintenance.
Overall, we enjoyed the time in San Francisco and the apartment very much and do recommend the place. Two months go by so quickly…

Perfect location in a calmer residential area but with great communications to the city and to great food at Castros main streets. The apartment was a great three floors high apartment with a superb top floor with an open kitchen/living area.
