You would be a guest in my amazing apartment in the heart of Sydney.
The apartment is centrally located in East Sydney/ Darlinghurst with everything within walking distance; Sydney CBD in 10mins, Hyde Park 5 mins, Oxford St 5 mins, Kings Cross 5 mins . If walking is not your thing are really well serviced for public transport with a bus stop almost outside of door that takes you into the CBD and beyond and Bondi Beach in the other direction. The Town Hall train station is a comfortable walk and this station is one of the main connector stations for all lines, plus the airport is a quick 20mins away by cab or the Airport Shuttle bus which picks up outside my door.
The apartment is very spacious and on 2 levels; the main living area, kitchen, room I rent with bathroom is downstairs and I have another room and bathroom upstairs the way it is designed it offers considerable privacy. It is fully designer furnished in a modern contemporary style to the highest standard with all mod cons, large screen TV, all unblocked channel cable, DVD, i-pod music doc, wireless internet that guests can use, a gourmet kitchen, I am a bit of an amateur "Masterchef" so the kitchen has every gadget and dish an good cook could wish for including a decent coffee machine.
To maximise the great weather we have in Sydney the apartment has balconies off every room. I am really fortunate to have a great rooftop terrace with amazing views of the city plus water glimpse, and star gazing. The room comes with its own balcony and bathroom and guest have use of the rest of the apartment, living/dining, kitchen and the roof terrace.
The room has a double bed, quality bedding, lots of fitted wardrobe space, table, chairs and chaise lounge on balcony, tea and coffee making facilities, portable DVD player. It has its own bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
You would be living with me and my very cute, house trained small dog. He is 7 years old, is a Pomeranian, does not shed and is very friendly and OK with most people.
I am originally Scottish and have made Sydney my home for the last 12 years; I am well travelled, enjoy travelling, meeting new people and exploring new places and do believe that there is no better way to get to know a place that through the locals who live there(adopted or not). I am open minded, have respect for all people and value differences and look for the same understanding in return, the world would be a boring place if we were all the same. I am no longer a youngster but still young at heart and enjoy going out and experience all the great restaurants, bars, clubs and events that Sydney has to offer. I do entertain at home sometime but would not describe this as a "party house".
We are really well positioned to take in all the variety that Sydney has to offer; “Stanley St (Sydney’s little Italy) just around the corner which has some great restaurants and a real European feel, Darlinghurst its self it is just walk to walk of cafes, bars and restaurants to suite all tastes and budgets, we also have the growers market at Kings Cross on Sat, the Australian Museum and The Art Gallery of NSW are both only a short walk away and they have both interesting exhibitions and evening events, Chinatown and Darling Harbour are again only a short walk away and Sydney colourful nightlife of both Kings Cross & Oxford St. I would like to think of myself of having a good knowledge of the city, I am well linked in with what is going on and can partake lots of information of things to do/ see/ be part of etc.
The apartment is on the top floor with 4 double flights of stairs to walk and there is NO lift, it is not really suitable for anyone with mobility/fitness challenges, also the apartment is not really suitable for a young child.
