Annie is really nice! When we needed a few things it is! It picks you up at the metro when you need! Thank you for this welcome!

Annie is a really nice and funny person. She was really helpful and told us what places to visit in Chicago and where to get discounts etc. About the location: Everything in the house was clean. The area is very bad. I think that's why Annie picks you up from the train station when you arrive at night. I did not sleep very well because the matress was uncomfortable. The matress was in the middle of the living room, so there were always people walking around and talking very loud during the night. Without my earplugs I wouldnt have slept one second. What you need to consider before booking a room at Annie's place: You dont pay much, so dont expect much!

I thought 14 dollars per each night is a great offer and I should try it out because it cant be that bad... i was really wrong about this. First thing to say is the area, I knew it was in an unsafe-area but since I was just a half an hour there and a capdriver, a old man waiting for the bus and the busdriver itself told me I should leave this area as fast as possible because otherwise I will get rob. I can't really say if they were right and this is realy as bad as they told but if you dont know a area and 3 different people are warning you, it shapes a picture of this area. But nevertheless I rang the bell a few times and even went into the backyard and nobody answered, thought she knew my arrival time from my latest e-mail. When I contacted her her about refunding my money she answered b mail calling me an ass and other offending stuff. Im warning everybody to step into this trap.

I really had fun in Chicago and had the opportunity to know incredible people in Nonya's house, including her. Certainly, She is an unforgettable figure, very funny and helpful. It's a simple house, most of neighborhood is composed by black people, it's kind of intimidating walk by yourself at night, but during the day it's ok, and Nonya offers ride from the train station to her house at night. Particularly I didn't experience any intimidating situation, everybody was solidarious and friendly, and a I also faced some crazy funny people, but I think that's normal from all Chicago. The PDF file that She provided by e-mail with the information about how to get to her house was really helpful and neat, I didn't have any problem to get there, or to go from there to other places in Chicago. The public transportation of Chicago is also very efficient, you can go to anywhere just by taking the train or bus, and also you can get an informative map in the train station. She also provides wireless network access. I was really well welcomed, had a good time and made new friends.

Annie was very nice and accomodating. Fellow guests were nice and respectful.

Annie is adorable, full of energy and humor. It feels very comfortable in it, even if a lot of people traveling. We were a dozen people to a bathroom, but everything went well. There which starts early in the morning, others late risers, so it spans the morning. The area has a bad reputation, but there is no problem to walk day and night Annie gets us drive to the metro station. Annie also gives good advice on trips and things to see, such as concerts. It is available since she lives there. Very pleasant stay and we are glad we made the acquaintance of Annie!

Annie is a great host...nice house...will b going o Chicago again next month...will stay there...
