The Alfama Quarter is the oldest one in Lisbon, and it was founded by the Arabs who named it “Al-hama” (the fountains). Above Alfama the imposing, majestic and sober Castelo de São Jorge (Castle of Saint Jorge), crowns Lisbon´s most important eastern hill. This natural vantage point, was a defensive stronghold and royal palace until the end of the 16th century.
Other Attractions are a few steps away. You will need to climb just a few streets to find yourself in front of the Pantheon, or at the Flea Market (If you are interested in antique stuff and second hand bargains you can find almost everything at the Feira da Ladra flea Market every Saturday and Tuesday in Campo de Santa Clara). To eat there are quite a few cheap typical Portuguese tascas around, but if you are more into sophisticated stuff don´t miss the Bica do Sapato restaurant (co-owned by the actor John Malkovich), Lisbon´s hippest and trendiest restaurant, or the Faz Figura restaurant featuring Portuguese specialties and an impressive city and river views. Here, the visitor will be also close to the most recent and trendiest nightlife routes, beginning in the new Alfama fado parlours and ending up in Clube Ferroviário or at the famous and trendy Lux nightclub.

TRANSPORTS:
City center is less than 10 minutes walking, so you will be able to enjoy most of Lisbon´s attractions by foot! You have however buses, trams and metro nearby running every minute:
TRAM: Famous Tram 28 takes you to the city center and most picturesque Lisbon districts - runs 700 meters from the apartment
METRO: The apartment is situated in between 2 metro stations: the one of Praça do Comércio (700 meters) and the one of Santa Apolónia (800 metres)
BUSES: buses 206, 210, 735,759 etc…
TRAIN STATIONS: Santa Apolónia international train station is 800 meters from the apartment. This station connects you to North and Central Portugal, Spain and France.

Check in standard time is from 15:00 onwards and Check Out standard time is until 11:00.
However we are quite flexible to let you in earlier or checking you out later depending on the apartment´s occupancy! We can confirm you all these arrangements the day before you arrive.

Late Check in: Check in after 22:00 has a 20 EUR fee.

An Amount of €150 for stays under 15 days, and €300 for stays of 15 days or more will be asked to you as a guarantee for damages. This amount is to be paid when checking in, in cash and should be refunded to you when checking out.

The apartment will be ready and cleaned for you before your arrival. Fresh towels and sheets are also provided and all is included in the total price.

Our opinion will focus on another apartment in which we were upgraded. Located in Alfama apartment was ideal to go / come and discover Lisbon and our rythme.Tiago Francisco guests were charming, accommodating and available, however, we note some technical problems apart (a few bulbs or inter inops, TV inop, stairwell lighting inop, entry door lock inop and broken window etc ...) curiously these defects had not made an assessment of our stay and are OK to go.

VICENTE VARANDA - charm in old typical Alfama

eine wunderschöne Wohnung, sehr zentral gelegen. Das Bett war sehr bequem, Handtücher waren vorhanden, die Dusche war sehr kraftvoll, die Ausstattung des Appartements war völlig ausreichend und sehr schön war die kleine Terasse.
Ein "kleiner" Nachteil: ohne Ohropax konnten wir nicht schlafen, denn die süße Straßenbahn fährt bis 00:00 Uhr und ab 6:00 Uhr Direkt vor dem Schlafzimmer und das ist leider ziemlich laut.
Ansonsten können wir die Wohnung wirklich weiterempfehlen und hatten eine schöne Zeit in Lissabon.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit Ausblick auf die Stadt und den Tejo. Günstig gelegen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und der Partyzone Bairro Alto. Öff. Verkehrsmittel nicht weit weg.

Wij waren met 4 volwassenen in dit appartement en we waren de tweede bezoekers. Een prachtig nieuw appartement, geweldig uitzicht over de stad en de rivier. Alles is aanwezig, goed ingerichte keuken, prachtige slaapkamers, mooie woonkamer. Echt een aanrader!

Un apartamento muy bien ubicado en toda la zona del casco antiguo, es perfecto para 2 personas ya que el sofá cama es incomodo, y la ducha un poco complicada para entrar si estas gordito. Por lo demás todo muy bien.

Lisbon Centre 4 - great location

Pasamos 3 noches en este apartamento en la Rua Telhal, una pareja y un amigo, en agosto.
El piso está muy bien, pequeño pero muy cómodo y completo. Todas las habitaciones tienen ventana, incluso el baño, lo cual está fenomenal. La del baño es pequeña pero permite ventilar, la de un cuarto es ventanuco, pero salón y otra habitación dan a una zona arbolada muy tranquila y relajante. Está perfectamente equipado, con televisión y 2 redes wifi con muy buena cobertura. También tiene cafetera, nevera, microondas, y todos los complementos para una estancia cómoda. Casi todo es de Ikea. Además tiene un ventilador estupendo, hacía bastante calor pero el piso, entre ventanas y ventilador, estaba bastante fresquito, y dormimos bien. Las fotos son fieles a la realidad, aunque gusta más al verlo. Es un cuarto piso, pero con ascensor, lo que permite transportar las maletas con mayor comodidad.
En lo que respecta a la zona para mi perfecta, tranquila pero a cinco minutos andando de la Baixa o la Plaza del Rossio. Céntrico pero no en pleno meollo turístico. En la calle hay tres o cuatro minimarkets en los que poder comprar fruta, pan, embutido o tabaco con facilidad y amplitud horaria, aunque quizá algo más caros que Pingo Doce o cadenas similares. Fuimos en coche y pudimos aparcar con facilidad a unos 5 minutos del piso, por recomendación del anfitrión en el Campo Martires da Patria. Tuvimos mucha suerte porque era zona de pago pero el parquímetro estaba estropeado el jueves a nuestra llegada. Como festivos (15/8) y fin de semana no son de pago, aparcamos gratis los tres dias.
Para terminar, una mención especial al buen trato del anfitrión. Siempre pendiente y disponible, estimábamos llegar sobre las 19.00h pero al final llegamos mucho antes. Lo llamé a 16.30h y me dijo que en 30 minutos estaría en el piso. Cuando llegamos allí estaba, muy amable, nos explicó todo y nos dejó tan tranquilos, al irse tirar de la puerta y listo. Un diez!

Folgende Dinge fanden wir bemerkenswert:
- herrliche Aussicht aus allen Fenstern
- schöner Zuschnitt der Wohnung
- hervorragende Lage
- saubere Wäsche
- sanitäre Anlagen mittelmäßig gepflegt
- Geschirr nicht ausreichend um die vorhandene Spülmaschine zu füllen
- Herd nicht voll funktionsfähig, die Herdamaturen fanden sich in einer Schublade
- Schlafzimmertüren konnten nicht geschlossen werden, was bei dem vorherrschenden Wind und geöffneten Fenstern zu erheblichen Klappern und Schlagen führte
- Schranktüren lösten sich unaufgefordert aus den Angeln
Mit ein wenig mehr Pflege und liebe zum Detail eine wunderbare Wohnung!!!
