Private Studio Apartment

the room is clean and big enough for couples. everything you will need is provided for by Carlson. i'd recommend this room, unless you have a trouble/issues with a short climb (its on a hill).

Location was great, but apt is situated at the top of a steep hill. Room was on the smaller size and we had issues with the plumbing. One con would be the thin walls and doors. Could hear a baby cry all night from across the hall as well as the conversations from the apt above. Overall a pleasant stay and good value for the amount your paying to be staying in TST.

We booked the room for January 2013 for four nights. In November we already gave our flight details and just before we arrived we even gave an update. All communication took place through email and was fast: usually within the hour we would get a reply. The instruction to get to the address were: “call this number when you arrive at the airport we wait for you at the G-floor”. We called the number when we arrived as we could not figure out the G-floor. We got somewhat cryptic instructions how to get to the apartment. When we arrived there we were supposed to call the number again but no one picked up. We had to wait for more than an hour before finally the phone was picked up. No one in the street knew where the apartment was so there we were tired after a long flight with all of our luggage in the middle of the street. When finally the phone was answered we were told the room was not ready yet and the person we spoke to (not the host) told us she was late but within ten minutes she would be there. In the end it took her half an hour. By then it was 04.00 PM: we were longing for a refreshment, a bed, a shower but judging from the lady it might be a long time before any of this would be there for us. She showed us the apartment which at that moment was a complete mess. We had to leave while she cleaned the room and because we were so tired and it took a long time we decided to return the key and not stay in the apartment. We lost our complete afternoon because something as simple as a check-in could not be achieved by our host. We filed a complaint to the Carlson and Wimdu and besides Wimdu we never got a reply back from the host. Unlike the times before We did not make use of the accommodation but got accused we slept there several nights and hid the key. This all lead to a discussion in which Wimdu choose the side of Carlson and pointed to him to solve the problem. For Carlson it is simple: the money is paid so no refund at all. We will never use any of Carlson’s locations anymore and very much doubt whether we should still use Wimdu as we are not protected at all from bad performance.

Room size is just nice for 2 for a couple of days. Located few mins wall away from mtr.only complain is the steep slope to Climb everyday to reach apartment.doors and walls could also be made better if there's sound proof.could hear clearly conversation outside door and noisy after midnight.cleaning up of room could be done everyday

A great holiday. The apartment was comfortable and well kept. The host was easy to contact and looked after us well.

great apartment! very cozy. apartment is in city center, close to the most important places in HK. Flat is tiny, but for couple days it's perfect, very clean, and nice facilities. Air condition works fine. Housekeeper is also, very helpful, and very friendly. and If we ever will be again in HK, we will choose this apartment again!

I am always worried whether the photos reflect the actual apartment- but this was not the case. I was travelling on my own and the apartment while small was modern, clean and close to the action and had everything I needed. would come again and recommend it to my friends.The WIFI worked a treat. and directions and help to the apartment was great.

Nice location. It's located right near nutsford terrace.

I staid in this apartment for 8 days last July. The apartment has a good location and the MTR is within walking distance. The area around the apartment is lively and is really suitable for any age range. I would recommend this apartment to anyone that is planning to stay in Hong Kong for a longer period of time. (1-2 guests) Although I didn't meet Carlson himself, his staff has been really helpful and easy to communicate with. A big positive point. I will surely come back to his apartment when I am in Hong Kong again.
