Description
Equipped with a large double bed (1.80 m) the room is 16 square meters in size. The tastefully furnished 70 sqm 3-bedroom apartment has parquet flooring and a high-quality interior. The large kitchen invites you to linger. The dishwasher, oven and stove invites for cooking. The bathroom has a bath and a washing machine is also available.
The room is located in Schwabing in a great old building with high ceilings in one of the most beautiful streets of Munich. Not far away is the Hohenzollern Street with a lot of shops. There is a good connection to public transportation (Kurfürstenplatz or Münchner Freiheit). The Oktoberfest is reachable by bus, tram or subway very well.
Due to the cosmopolitan university nearby, Schwabing was known in the past for its numerous artists and writers. Guest of the artist bars were for example Franz Marc, Wassily Kandinzki, Paul Klee and die Brothers Mann. Even nowadays It epitomizes the Munich lifestyle, the fashion district and the home of the rich. The streets are not only characterized by beautifully constructed historical residential buildings but also by prestige buildings such as the Arch of Victory (Siegestor).
The surroundings of Schwabing are really appealing as well. In the eastern part you can relax in the English Garden (Englischer Garten) and on the riverside of the Isar. Depending on the flow conditions and the weather you can even surf in the current. To the west you can find the Olympic Park (Olympiapark). Built for the 1972 Summer Olympics it is another recreational center of the city characterized by a distinctive glass architecture.
For Nighthawks Schwabing is als an excellent location. Alt-Schwabing is one of Munich’s focal points of the night life, and the old town with a second focal point is right next door. Also the bars and clubs in the quarter Glockenbachviertel in Isarvorstadt or Schwanthalerhöhe are easy to reach.
Schwabing is easily accessible by public transportation. The underground lines U3 and U6 lead directly to the inner city to reach the Court Garden (Hofgarten), Mary’s square (Marienplatz) and the Sendling Gate (Sendlinger Tor). The Theresienwiese is accessible via the stations Goetheplatz and Poccistraße where both underground lines run. Here the biggest folk festival called Oktoberfest takes place from mid-September to the begining of October.
I look forward to an exciting time with you.
