Description
The Hostel is located in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in the western part of Berlin. The two bourgeois quarters are complimented by their renovated old-style buildings.
The area around Savignyplatz is known for its many cafes and restaurants. The most important and most famous shopping street is the nearby Kurfurstendamm which stretches east to the most famous "KaDeWe" (Department Store of the West). It is located in the vicinity of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Europa Center and the Zoo. This area is also known as City West.
An historic attraction in the district is Charlottenburg Castle. It is the largest and most impressive palace in Berlin. The large castle park is ideal for a walk. The largest park in the district, is the Tiergarten, which is directly next to the Zoo.
The district is well connected to neighboring districts. The U-Bahn lines U1, U3, U7 and U9, and the S-Bahn lines S5, S7, S41, S42 and S75 cross the district.
