After going all around the world discovering place...island...food and treasures a big storm forced his boat to dock in Amsterdam. During that storm Peter lost his compass but not his desire to discover new place...small island ...rivers and canals. Every day with his fabulous boat Peter goes everywhere in Amsterdam to find his way to return back to his land. You can set out with him to discover the beauty of Amsterdam overlooking the street and the life of this city from another point of view. Peter is a good story teller and you will forget for 1 hour who you are....floating in the river like a child in the crib

A rare opportunity to visit Amsterdam quietly from the water, and to discover the most (and least) popular fluvial ways of this city. The captain will show you around, and will satisfy your curiosity about the city, Holland in general and the everyday life of the Dutch people.

Comments on the area:
---------------------
"De Baarsjes is very much on the rise as an up-and-coming neighborhood with a population that is both young and multicultural. Situated remarkably close to the city centre and with plenty of green, the area is attractive for families, artists and young professionals alike."

"De Baarsjes is remarkably close to the city centre. It’s not only minutes away from Vondelpark, but it also has its own green and rambling Rembrandtpark."

"Off the commercial shopping boulevard Jan Evertsenstraat there’s an open air market on Vespuccistraat. An active policy of creating ‘cultural breeding grounds’ has seen the rise of such multifunctional arts centres such as Het Sieraard and Meneer de Wit, as well as the gallery street, Witte de Withstraat, all of whom work closely with the community on arts and culture projects."

How many public transport? tram n. 13, 7, 17. Bus 15, 18, 247, 353. But take in consideration the bike (more fast; more cheap; more freedom).

10 Excellent

Alberto (and Ilario) were great hosts. Their apartment was clean and cozy, near a large park and a only short tram ride to the city center. Although I was traveling by myself the "romantic" room was as advertised, with a big comfortable bed, beautiful orchids, and large sunny window facing a quiet inner yard. Alberto served a delicious breakfast with coffee, cereal, salami, cheese, cookies, and even a sweet crepe. I'll certainly try to stay here again next time I'm visit Amsterdam.

I enjoyed my stay at Alberto's place very much. He is an extraordinary person, very helpful, very nice. Great breakfast. Going by bike in Amsterdam was a new experience; I enjoyed it, although the weather was cold and (sometimes) rainy. I would definitely come back to this place, if I were to come back to Amsterdam for another couple of days.

I spent a wonderful 3 day stay at Alberto's and Ilario' place. The flat makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Alberto is doing his utmost to advise you on the places to visit, the way you should cycle to the center to avoid trafic and gives you plans and directions to take as much benefit as possible from the city. The bicycle I was given for my stay was perfect and with recommandations from Alberto, I managed alright.
The whole place is very well decorated and full of colours. Your day starts with a delicious breakfast in the living room and the table has everything you can think of to make this special time a real experience. A specific cupboard for guests has additional available food.
You enjoy a beatiful view on the Rembrandt-park from the living room and the company of the two "lions" of the house is quite discrete.
Moreover, Alberto cooks exquisite "crepes" and he is always making sure you are not missing anything. The whole place is quite clean and the room on the back of the building is very quiet.
In a word I can only recommend Alberto and Ilario's place for an enjoyable stay in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed the stay at the home of Alberto. He is a very friendly man, always willing to help and to ensure that you have a great stay. We got a great breakfast every morning and he took care that the bicycle were ready for the trip. He also was very busy to get us infos about the sightseeing and so on.
The atmosphere was very familiar, rooms not to big but lovely decorated.
We can recommend to stay at Albertos home very much.
Best greetings for Alberto, all the best for the future and say hello from us also to Lina and the other cat.

Alberto has created a home from home in an apartment full of character, charm and creativity, as a host he is generous, interesting and welcoming. 'My' beautifully decorated room had an extremely comfortable bed and was supplied with all sorts of useful bits and bobs, a lovely balcony brought in the light and bird song, it is a truly romantic place.

Breakfast is a work of art, the table laid with many delights, tastes and surprises, an appealing cupboard contains further daily changing treats. The window looks out on the lush Rembrandtpark and you are in the heart of where real Amsterdammers live, giving an authentic buzz to your holiday. Alberto is on hand to give advice on where to go, what to do.

I would recommend the bikes, the apartment is ideally located to cycle via two parks that take you on a lovely route to the museums and concert hall. Then when you feel brave, on-wards to explore everything this wonderful city has to offer.

Thank you for creating the perfect b&b Alberto, I can't recommend you/it highly enough! Dear reader if you book (and you should) I'm quite honestly jealous of your stay!!
