Welcome to this amazing villa that is occupying a mountainside site, the dimensions of this commodious retreat are most generous, sleeping up to 18 guests.

The villa is environmentally-friendly in minimizing water use by means of an electronically controlled watering system, rain-water tank irrigation recycling and rooftop solar panels.

The expansive decking areas are as large as the adjoining interior floor space. Pergolas, controlled-water fed pot planting and a large yin and yang-shaped Zen garden furnishes what are essentially outdoor rooms. The design reflects the environmental textures of its rocky backdrop while maximizing exterior living space and incorporating saltwater pools and Jacuzzis.

On the first level above the garage and storage rooms, the guest suite / master bedroom opens onto a very large deck and unique features of a swirling pebble and grass-effect Zen-style garden of cacti plants and quartz boulders. Fluorescent spot-lights after dark, as with the heated rim-flow pool above, lead you up wooden step tiers to a plunge pool. The night time effect is particularly picturesque as ultra-violet lighting transforms the pools into glowing jewels. Alternatively, you can take a relaxing dip in the nearby Jacuzzi.

The first floor apartment sleeps four with a king-size bed and a double sleeper couch in the lounge while the kitchen has full specification. The lounge boasts a large LCD TV, DVD, CD and iPod players. There is a king-size bed, generous wardrobe space and en-suite bathroom. The apartment is rendered in clean whites, aquamarine, sea-greens and shades of brown while touches of green and blue mosaic, glass tiles underscore the maritime theme. Furnishings of raw-silk curtains are used throughout the Villa to dress the patio window doors while original Ian van Zyl African wildlife paintings are positioned to maximum effect.

The sense of abundant space is apparent on the second floor under a high-vaulted ceiling over two floors. The full-spec kitchen (five ring gas hob, double electric oven, double fridge / freezer, ice dispenser etc.) on an upper mezzanine level has an open-plan island with bar stools, ideals as an informal dining space. The rear extends to a scullery, pantry and laundry utility area. From here you can reach the upper floor by means of additional stairs. Distinctive large metallic animal horns forming door handles on the entrance door catch the eye. A large glass dining table and chairs upholstered in faux animal hides dominates an elevated mezzanine level. A lower level forms an informal living space featuring a pebble-bed gas fireplace and leather suite of furniture. Large glass sliding patio doors with wooden louvered panels (American shutters) give onto the exterior. The three bedroom suites all have direct balcony access via glass patio doors and share raw silk curtains and muted beach tones. Two rooms share a common bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub, double wash basins and large shower units against mosaic walls. The third en-suite bedroom here can be separated off as a self-contained master suite with kitchenette, lounge and double-sleeper couch.

The third floor has striking crystal and silver chandeliers. An open-plan bar area with several drinks fridges is intended to cater for the entertainment lounge and dining areas and complement the indoor barbecue. Mahogany and caesar-stone finishes predominate in this full-specification utilities area of adjacent scullery, pantry and laundry rooms. The sense of light and space is enhanced through large picture glass panels high in the walls giving framed mountain views.

The living room is designed around a large L-shaped kudu-leather couch with formal mahogany dining table. Wall-to-wall concertina-folding patio doors with louvered windows / American shutters give on to the exterior. The pergola outside is an attractive touch providing welcome plant shade as an extension to the expansive deck. You can take in the stunning views from this vantage point, from the al fresco dining table or assorted sun lounger furniture arrangements. Again, there is an enticing Jacuzzi here from which to survey the seascape below. There are three bedrooms and a separate study / office area with 3G broadband Wi-Fi capacity.

All bedrooms have ample wardrobe space set against high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling patio doors giving on to the decking terrace. The en-suite master bedroom has a king-sized bed, generous walk-in wardrobe space and an invitingly sumptuous silver-suede chaise-lounge to recline in. Pearl, silver, black and white tones dominate, complemented by a striking zebra artwork. The travertine tiled, glass mosaic bathroom accommodates an elevated stone bathtub. All bedrooms have air-conditioners and enjoy sea views with direct decking access while having LCD TV's installed with digital DSTV channels in common with the communal living areas. All bathrooms and kitchens have under floor heating and heated towel rails. All three lounges have large plasmas, DVD players, CD players and iPod docking stations. A separate study is equipped with a computer and wireless internet access is throughout all levels of the house.

Outside the large deck accommodates a heated rim-flow infinity pool, terracotta-mosaic dining tables and wooden patio furniture inviting alfresco entertainment with gas barbecue area. Uninterrupted coastal seascapes extend here to Robben Island while to the rear and across the bay the Twelve Apostles and Lion's Head loom as paragliders ride the thermals.

There is garaging for four cars with off-street parking for a further five vehicles. A 'Paradox' security system serves all combinations of rented alternatives with separate alarm and entry systems.

There is also a separate service entrance for staff and maintenance. Daily servicing is included, Mon - Sat, except public holidays.

All linen and towels are provided.

Guests have the option to upgrade to a sensuous Villa Hotel experience which includes: Servicing 7 days a week , House manager and concierge service, Private chef, Housekeeper and butler, Welcome pack and necessity pack, Full breakfast daily, Fully stocked bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, Full laundry service, Daily newspapers and Complimentary use of 2 sets of golf clubs. The charge for the upgrade is R 399 per person per night, and can only be applied to the whole duration of the booking.

Please note that we require 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of confirming your reservation. This is done as we start to turn away other potential guests to ensure availability for your requested dates.

The balance of your accommodation is due 30 days prior to your arrival and becomes non-refundable at this time.

We suggest that guests purchase sufficient travel insurance to cover your expenses in the event that you need to change or cancel your reservation.

This policy is strictly enforced and by proceeding with the reservation, you hereby accept these terms.

HOUSE MANUAL:

Standard check-in time is between 14h00 and 18h00 on the day of arrival.

Check out time is by 10h00 on the day of departure.

We will try to accommodate all other arrival and departure times. If you would like to guarantee an early arrival or a late departure an additional half day’s rental must be charged per occurrence (as we block the property for the preceding or following night). If you have any special requests please contact us.

We have an early or late check in fee of R 300 for arrivals between 19h00 and 07h00. This fee should be settled directly with the consultant on arrival, but if this is not suitable we can invoice you for it.

Guests are required to provide their credit card details upon arrival in the event of any damages in excess of R 200.
