Room in Charming Neighbourhood

The hosts Alex/Luca and Violetta are great people and take really good care of there guests. The location is perfect in the centre, near the beach and other places of interest. The accomodations is great and you can use the nice kitchen and ''dining room''. There are two bedrooms for hire (I didn't realise), so you might have to share the common space, which was fine as well. One room is a lot bigger then the other, I would suggest to book the bigger one if possible, I found the other room actually a bit too small. But overall I would absolutly recomand this accomodation. We had a great stay in the house of Violetta. She herself was far away, but when she was there she was in for a chat. The room was small but fine for sleeping. The bathroom however was very spacious. One drawback was that the toilet in the bathroom, which is not as useful as one of the other guests in the shower and you just go to the bathroom. You can use it everywhere, which was also very nice. Well we were only 2 towels for our stay of one week. This was little. The shower is not good either way, that's a bummer when you're with other people. We read in reviews that there was no lock on the door was the room that we checked and there is a slot arranged immediately. There is also wireless internet, so the laptop can take safely and remain as you are away during the day. The location is really great with 200m a subway station and there are almost all the tourist things going to visit. However, it is very noisy here, and warm. To quieter sleep you need the windows really close and still hear enough. We had a great week and hope to come back soon!

Dirty place.The Toiletbrush,i would never touch, look older than me, and i don´t understand why nobody take care of this, would be easy, but it seems like nothing about cleaning is easy .for the Owner, however it is.

Stay with Violet's Born in September 2012: Apartment former well placed for visiting the city on foot but some caveats: - in an alley very noisy with lots of passage (not double glazed), apartment stifling in summer (no air conditioning), only 1 SDB (high but not separate WC), 1 small table in the dining room for 4 pers. Max, furniture and chairs ragtag, no area with sofa or sofa, and most importantly, very small rooms (maximum 6-7 m2), impossible to sleep 2 when it is very hot. We were fortunate to have had the apartment to us only at the beginning and were able to negotiate using the second spare room (bunk beds). In short, good but not very comfortable.

About the room: The room is very small but enough for a couple of days (good: a closet where you can put all your clothes+ enough room next to it to put your suitcase)! We didnt like the fact that there was no "real door" which you could lock.. it was more a double door you could only leave ajar. Luckily the host Violeta is a very nice&confident person which helped to live with this situation. About the apartement: Just an information for people who appreciate a high cleanliness.. this is something you wont find there. We never took of flipflops/socks. About the host: Violeta is VERY nice and helpful. We got along very well with her! Whenever we met her around the apartement she always found some time to chitchat and answer questions or help out with suggestions for restaurants, bars etc. I can just highly recommend her as a host!

Apartment very well located that we was allowing the foot to reach all beautiful places in Barcelona.

Everything did go just the right way. Just like it was promised :-). We didn't have to wait, we didn't have to ask for anything. Great room with enough privacy. Thank you for having us there :-). X

the appartment was dirty and hot, we had to share the bathroom with 5 other people. Our bedroom was very small and dirty, sand on the beds an a lot of dust everywhere. There was hardly any privacy, because of the small shared living room and the doors of our bedroom couldn't really be closed nor locked. We had to use one towel for 5 days, and nobody came to check if everything was alright. We kitchen was dirty, they wastebin complety filled when we arrived and it was never emptied. Don't go there!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Friendly people who could tell me everything I needed to know about Barcelona and it's places to visit! Comfortable, clean room which is greatly situated.

Lovely room and appartment- very clean and spacious with lots of character. Perfect location for easy access to some of the main tourist attractions, good bars and restaurants as well as the beach.
