Description
My apartment is located on the lower east side of Manhattan. A great neighborhood that is lively both day and night with many inexpensive places to eat and listen to music.
We are walking distance to many areas such as Soho, East and West Village, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Financial District. You can walk over the Williamsburg, Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges visiting some great sections in Brooklyn.
Subway is a short distance and the bus is right down stairs. Bike rental across the street as well as a supermarket and some other favorite treats on the lower east side.
This the only pre-war building (prior to WWII) that is located on the lower east side of Manhattan. There are 8 six story buildings that surround a pretty garden with a fountain that runs 3/4 of the year. My apartment is on the 6th floor (with elevator) and has windows that look north over the city. There are open views from all the windows and beautiful wood flooring which help make the apartment seem light filled and airy.
The decor is fitting for the year of the building. I have filled it with a mix of antique and modern furnishings. There is a full size kitchen with a small table for dining readily available for use. There is also a TV and Wireless Internet for your use as well.
Currently there is the one bedroom available with a queen sized bed. I do have a second room available that has a day bed that opens to 2 twins or a king size bed. If you are traveling with children I will rent this room, but you will need to make arrangements in advance.
Hoping you love this city as much as I do.
