We like it here in our flat because it’s real relaxing and has good vibes. It’s our little retreat away from the city.
When you come on the train from the cultural bustle of, say, Liverpool Street, you go over the River Lea and pass the long green grass of Walthamstow Marshes and it feels like your in the country but you’re not, you’re in E17!
We often go cycling or running down to the river, have a coke or two at the café, play tennis, then hop and skip through the marshes, enjoying a naughty pint of Ale on the way back.
We also love cooking and food.
We have recently been cooking more eastern food.
There is a large Turkish and Cypriot community here, which offers delicious eating out experiences and ingredients, which have inspired us no end.
We have a gas cooker and oven, 3 different juicers, toaster, washing machine etc.
This amazing property is perfect for your stay in London, we offer you Kitchen, TV, Wireless / Wi-Fi, Washing Machine and Drying Machine. Located in East London, in the trendy area of Walthamstow and Hackney suburb.
One double sized bed in our flat.
There is one bedroom and a lounge.
The lounge conveniently mutates in to a bedroom and becomes the guest room.
It has the advantage of a nice firm sofa bed, some nice fluffy duck-down pillows and a brand new duvet!
The flat has a mixture of styles and influences. There are lots of informative books to look at and/or read. There is also a wide variety of films, musical instruments and games you can use while you stay here.
Jess is studying, learning and practicing art psychotherapy, and is an artist who dabbles in drawing, painting, sound, video, installation etc.
Luke is an industrial designer/product developer and produces music and makes videos.
The kitchen is really the heart of the flat and it feels quite mellow, yet quite interactive in this area.
You can sit on the pew and read a book, chat to the person who is cooking, or kick back and have a glass of wine if you like. It’s also in close proximity to the DAB radio, where you can flick between stations. The use of Wi-Fi is also a fully fledged possibility.
The garden is tranquil.
It has an apple tree, that you can eat the fruit from in August.
We’re very close to the railway track and we often time the trains whizzing passed.
Weirdly, they are often ahead of schedule.
Bbq’s in the garden are a must in the heat of the summer!
The house is an Ex Warner property, built in 1900 and is located in a designated conservation area. It's just a short walk to a nature reserve, canal boat community, the largest fruit and veg market in Europe, as well as the trendy Walthamstow Village.
At the end of our road we have the International Store, which sells fruit and veg from all over the world and it is very inexpensive (10 oranges for £1, 10 Avocados for £1).
It sells fresh olives, cheese and Baklava, Yum!
Don’t worry…the park is just a short jog away remember!
We are VERY close to the Olympic games 24-30mins bus journey.
Inclusive of this price, x2 bikes will be provided (a security deposit will be requested from you of £50), so you can ride to the Olympic area, as this will be quicker along the canal paths and will save a lot of transport hassle.
Two minutes walk to the over ground station St James Street, which takes you directly to:
Bethnal Green = Spa London, Brick lane, Museum of Childhood, pubs, Victoria Park, Galleries, etc
Liverpool street = Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane, The Gherkin
Hackney Downs = The Lido, London Fields,‘Cunce Corner’, Broadway Market, etc.
Blackhorse road underground (Victoria Line) is 5 minutes on the bus and 10 minutes walk.
We would love to hear about you so please tell us about yourselves as best you can if you are interested.
