This an area where you will experience Central London among real Londoners and get a taste of life in the capital and still be only a short bus or tube ride away from all the tourist haunts. The accommodation is a simply furnished light and airy double bedroom and private bathroom in a typical Victorian terraced family home. The house is located in a quiet street in lively Shepherd's Bush. Breakfast - juice, croissants, yoghurt, bagels, fruit coffee or tea, is served in our bright family kitchen and can be left out for you to help yourself to whenever suits you. The family is often long gone when our guests have their breakfast so you will have privacy but also on other occasions a little company and conversation if you want it. We're very laid back and if you would rather have breakfast in your room that's fine too!
On arrival you will be given your own set of keys so can come and go as you choose.
Shepherds Bush has FIVE tube stations accessing the London underground (the nearest five minutes on foot) , an overground train station (10 minutes walk) and unrivalled bus routes meaning that our house is conveniently located for transport links that take you speedily to all of the capital's main attractions. Westfield shopping centre (the largest inner city mall in Europe) is just 5 walk minutes down the road and there are easy transport links to Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the main roads to Oxford and North and South West England from here.
Shepherds Bush itself is a prime real estate location. It is among one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the capital with convenience stores and multi ethnic restaurants just around the corner from the house. Shepherds Bush Green is a short walk or even shorter bus ride away from our home and is a bustling metropolitan centre with market, theatres, cinemas, music venues, gyms, night clubs, and comprehensive shopping ranging from Tiffany to Marks and Spencer, Prada to the Disney Store. The BBC Television centre is just around the corner making this area popular with media types and we also have the FA premier division football club Queen's Park Rangers right on our doorstep for any football fans. Notting Hill and its famous antique market is also a walk, tube train or bus ride away and offers a daily produce market, Friday and weekend antique and vintage markets, cafes, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
Our home is in West London journey times to some of the following locations we have been quoted by Transport for London on their website. . Our home is located five minutes walk from the tube station at Shepherds Bush Market and 10 minutes walk (less by bus) from Shepherds Bush Central Line and Shepherds Bush Overground. St Paul's Cathedral and the City of London is 20 minutes via the Central Line. The Mall, Buckingham Palace and Horse-guards Parade, The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Piers for the Thames River boats in Central London can all be reached in 15 minutes from Shepherds Bush tube via Westminster or Embankments tube stations. To get to Hyde Park with its summer concerts, Christmas fair and Kensington Park Gardens and Palace from here takes 7 minutes via tube to Lancaster Gate or you can reach To get to Hyde Park with its summer parks and Chirstmas fair and Oxford Street with its big name shops from here takes 9 minutes to Marble Arch or Bond Street 12 minutes or via direct bus in 20 minutes.
The Olympic Park at Stratford can be reached in 31 minutes and there are direct trains from our nearby Shepherds Bush tube station every 3-4 minutes(this also has a direct overground rail route to the Olympic Park) Earls Court and Olympia Exhibition Çentres can be reached via Shepherds Bush in just 15 minutes. Wembley Stadium for international football and Arena for major concerts are 29 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush via Bakers Street tube station. Lords Cricket ground is also nearby and can be reached via bus direct from Shepherds Bush or you can take the tube to the nearest tube station to Lords at Edgware Road. This tube journey is 15 minutes with an additional 10 minute walk to the venue from Edgware Road station. Wimbledon is the home for tennis and is 35 minutes via tube from Shepherds Bush. Eton and Windsor with its famous castle located on the river Thames can be accessed from Shepherds Bush via overground train from Paddington in under 20 minutes excluding the 12 minutes it takes to get from Shepherds Bush via tube to Paddington overground station.

Shepherds Bush is a vibrant multi-cultural location with convenience stores and restaurants just around the corner. Shepherds Bush Green is a short walk and is a bustling metropolitan centre with theatre, market, cinemas, gyms, clubs, and comprehensive shopping. Notting Hill Village is also a short bus ride or walk away and offers its famous antique market,cafes, boutiques, restaurants and bars. The West End is 10 minutes by tube.
Car drivers please note: There is on street pay and display parking here with charges made from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm of £2.10 per hour. Currently drivers have to pay in cash at the machine on the street which guests bringing their own car will need to factor in to their budget if they are staying with us on weekdays. Parking is free of charge from 5pm until 9am and throughout the weekends and bank holidays. Overseas guests who plan to travel onwards around the UK by hire car after their London visit would be best advised to have their hire car delivered to the house on the morning of their last day to avoid additional cost to their trip. Public transport, foot or bike hire (London's bike hire scheme has bikes in Shepherds Bush which can be rented by the hour) is definitely the best way to visit London and its attractions. Shepherds Bush as previously stated has excellent transport links with two underground tube stations, an overground train station with links to Gatwick the Midlands and the North and the South Coast plus one of the largest bus hubs in the city. We also have a very reasonably priced mini cab company that operates from an office at the end of our street that offers competitive rates to London's airports.

Heathrow
The best options from Heathrow are the Heathrow Express (expensive) or the Underground by the Piccadilly Line.
Heathrow Express
This train runs 4 times an hour from Terminals 1,2 & 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. Ticket prices range from £16.50 for a single (one way) ticket to London Paddington Station.
Once you reach Paddington you will need to buy an Underground ticket to Zones 1 & 2 (or an Oyster Card) and take the Hammersmith & City Line, or Circle Line to Shepherds Bush Market station.

Piccadilly Line
There is a regular service into central London from Terminal 1,2 & 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5. Ticket prices range from £5.00 for a single, paying by cash or £2.50 using an Oyster Card.
Take any train heading to central London until you reach Hammersmith station, exit the station and follow signs to Hammersmith station (Hammersmith & City Lines). It is a short walk across the road. Take any train – either Hammersmith & City or Circle line and get off at Shepherds Bush Market – which is the second stop on the route.

Gatwick
From Gatwick you have a few choices – the notable being the Gatwick Express, National Rail services and EasyBus.
Gatwick Express
This train runs 4 times an hour from the South Terminal. Ticket prices range from £15.95 for a single (one way) ticket and £25.90 return to London Victoria Station.
Once you reach Victoria you will need to buy an Underground ticket to Zones 1 & 2 (or an Oyster Card) and take the Victoria Line to Oxford Circus, change trains on to the Central Line and take the westbound service to Shepherds Bush station.

National Rail
There are a number of trains which run into (and through) central London that you can take from the South Terminal station. Look out for the next available train that stops at Clapham Junction and take that train. Once or twice an hour there are trains that go all the way to Shepherds Bush Overground station, so it is worth looking out for that one – there will be staff on the platform that you can ask. Tickets to Clapham Junction range from around £9.00 for a single and £17.00 for a return although cheaper fares are available if booking online in advance.
Once you reach Clapham Junction you will need to buy an Overground (same service as the Underground system) ticket for Zone 2 (or an Oyster Card) and take the London Overground service to Shepherds Bush Overground Station. Tickets range from £4.00 for a single, paying by cash or £1.40 using an Oyster Card.

EasyBus
This can be the cheapest method of getting into central London but you need check fares and book online in advance. They promote fares from £2.00 upwards, but you do need to book well ahead to take advantage of these prices.
The buses go from both terminals at Gatwick into Earls Court near West Brompton Station. You will need to buy a Zone 2 ticket (or an Oyster Card) and take the London Overground service to Shepherds Bush Overground Station. Tickets range from £4.00 for a single, paying by cash or £1.40 using an Oyster Card.

STANSTED AIRPORT
Easy Bus offers an inexpensive Central London easyBus service non-stop London to Stansted Airport bus service up to every 15 minutes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except Christmas day) This bus takes you directly into the heart of Central London, Baker Street Home to essential London must-see tourist destinations such as Madame Tussauds and the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Baker Street is the ideal arrival point from Stansted Airport. With pick-up and drop off point close to Baker Street Underground station and Marylebone railway station, travelling to other areas of London is convenient and straightforward. This route offers the most convenient way of getting to our home as you simply have to catch the Hammersmith and City or Circle Line at Baker's Street which brings you to Shepherds Bush Market Tube station (just 5 minutes walk) from our home. Upon exiting the tube staion turn right and we are located six turnings on your right! Alternatively you can book with National Express which usually comes all the way to Hammersmith however this route is currently unavailable due to roadworks so you wil need to disembark at Victoria and take the District Line to Hammersmith and change for the Hammersmith and CIty Line (located across the street) and then get off at Shepherds Bush Market. book with www.NationalExpress.com.
Buses from the tube stations at Shepherds Bush Market and Shepherds Bush tube and overground stations to our home are the 207, 283 and 260. You need to get off at Bloemfontein Road and cross over the street from the bus stop to Ingersoll Road.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE EUROSTAR TERMINAL AT KING'S CROSS
Guests arriving from Europe via Euro star need only to disembark at King's Cross and take the Hammersmith & City Line or Circle Line via Edgware road towards Hammersmith. The nearest tube stop on this tube line to our home is Shepherds Buch Market. At the station exit turn right and our street is 6 turnings on the left along the Uxbridge Road. Walking time from the tube to our home is approximately 5 minutes.
