Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and it is the country's economic, cultural, and historical capital. The city's biggest attraction remains its historic center, partially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but its cultural and entertainment hub can be found across the city's natural harbor, the Golden Horn, in the Beyoğlu district.

Formally called Constantinople, Istanbul was the capital of the Roman Empire and Europe's wealthiest metropolis, and is now the largest city in Turkey. Here you will find a fabulous city that spans Asia and Europe. In Istanbul you will see how old meets new when you visit the "must-see" historic sites such as the Blue Mosque , one of the most famous monuments in both the Turkish and Islamic worlds,

Hagia Sophia, now is a museum, but it was one of the largest basilicas in the Christian world, Underground Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome and Obelisk and obviously historic Grand Bazaar, , in operation since 1461, is among the world's oldest and largest covered markets. Mahmutpasha Bazaar is an open-air market extending between the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian Bazaar, which has been Istanbul's major spice market since 1660.

Zimmer war ok, sauber, manchmal Straße etwas laut. Aber der der Service war mangelhaft, oft niemand da, hätten beinahe das Flugzeug versäumt, weil zur Schlüsselabgabe erst sehr spät jemand gekommen ist.

Guest Houses in Beyoglu

My wife and I stayed in the appartment for five days. To us it was a very comfortable place to come back to after a whole day of walking the streets of Istanbul. The bed is very comfortable and all technical equipment like the air conditioning works properly (with the minor exception of the hose of the shower that is leaking). The inferior is done tastefully and the whole building is run very well. The price is actually absurdly low if it wasn*t for the fact that the house is situated at the bottom end of a very steep road in a trashy quarter. We didn't mind because in five minutes walk You can reach the zone around the Istiklal where You can have superb dinners.

Private Room With Terrace at Balat

We stayed for 16 days in an apartment in Beyoglu (Istanbul). The apartment was incredibly close and good at Istanbul's sights, only a small trip by bus through the city, and you ended up in the Grand Bazaar.
Our host Tarik was very helpful during the whole process, it is highly recommended.

Tiny House in Tarlabasi

I can recommend this accommodation. Verry nice is the balcony. The apartment was clean and tidy. There was everything you needed. Fridge, washing machine, stove, microwave and so on.
The apartment is in the near of the big shopping street Istiklal and the Taksim Square. The Galata Tower und the Galata Bridge can be reached on foot in 20-30 minutes. Tarik was very friendly and gave us some useful tips for the city.

Suit Rooms in Beyoglu

The rooms are small but ok and clean, all very relaxed, you're only there to sleep there. The description of Wimdu, where the property is located, is not quite right and should be corrected on occasion. We were happy with everything and Istanbul will certainly visit again.

Suit Rooms in Beyoglu

I found the property terleurstllend. I had a different expectation. There was an apartment offered and proved to be two rooms, the kitchen is lacking, which is in the basement and for common use. With shower and toilet There is also no possibility to sit outside. I thought that was a shame, I was hoping for a place with its own kitchen and something to sit outside. The caretakers speak poor english which makes it difficult to communicate.

Suit Rooms in Beyoglu

We enjoyed our stay at Tariks place a lot. The room was clean and neat, towels and linen were provided. There's a fully equiped kitchen and a common room where it's possible to prepare and eat your own food. The staff was very friendly and helpful even we arrived really late at night.
All in all fully recommendable!

There were only two tiny negative aspects:
- the address is very hard to find for taxi drivers even if it's only from Taksim square, because it's a small street. So make sure you have Tariks phone number with you. Call him and hand the phone over to the taxi driver so he knows where to go and you don't need to pay lots of money for just driving around and trying to find it ;)
- second thing was that it was a bit loud outside as there is a large street around the corner where there's a lot of traffic. So unfortunately it's almost not possible to keep the window open at night. But there's an air-condition anyway ;)

Lovely Room in Beyoglu

Guest house in Beyoglu was a good choice for staying in Istanbul. Tarik (the host) was very helpfull, we couldn't find the place on our own so he sent his friend to pick us up on Taksim square. The room was nicely decorated, clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Good value for the money. Downside of the location is very steep street up to the Taksim and unsafe looking neighborhood but the police station is very near the place. Overall, we were satisfied.
