Located just a few hundred metres from Shadwell tube and DLR stations and with Whitechapel Tube Station just up the road this well connected Semi-studio Bedsit has its own kitchenette and en suite wash room.

This Studio Bedsit flat is ideal for a single person who likes a little extra space. The Bedsit is comfortably furnished and has a double bed, sofa, table and chairs and a clothes rack. Bedding and a towel are also provided. The kitchenette has all the essentials; a 2 plate cooker, microwave with grill, kettle, toaster and fridge. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery for 2. The private en-suite within the studio has a bath with shower and a large sink. There is no toilet in the en suite!

You share a communal passageway, washing machine and a toilet room with the host. This little room has toilet, a corner sink, its own window and lockable door.

All parts of the city are easily accessible, with a variety of travel options all within walking distance of the studio. London’s East End and the area around the studio is steeped in cultural history and is a must-see for any tourist. There are plenty of local Bars and Restaurants to choose from. The East End also has some of the best walks, outdoor markets and parks in London. Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are a short walk away. Brick lane, Shoreditch and Hoxton are great areas for markets, shopping, eating and going out at night. The Victoria park, the King Edward Memorial park and the Regents Canal are all within walking distance of the studio. The broadway market and the Columbia road flower market are close by and new areas east of the city like; Canary Wharf, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Stratford are accessible using the local DLR station.

I would advise all people to stay away, Gordon has an aggressive behavior that made me feel extremely scared!!
There are way better places to stay for cheaper in and around east London.
It's not a nice studio and it's situated in council flats!!

The appartment was smaller than I thought. It was clean and enough kitchen facilities. It is located close to the centre and underground, so I could easely go everywhere. I didn't saw Gorden during my stay.
When you don't need much and a good bed en tele than this is a good appartment.

Wir waren zu zweit für 3 Nächte zu Gast bei Gordon.

Gordon's Appartment liegt in Whitechapel, dem City-nahen Teil des East Ends und ist daher recht gut erreichbar mit Bus und U-Bahn. Ans andere Ende der Innenstadt, zB zum Buckingham Palace, braucht man aber schon mal 40 Minuten.
Eine Bushaltestelle ist fast direkt vor der Haustür, ebenso ein Supermarkt, zur nächsten tube etc läuft man 5-10 Minuten.

Es war sauber, ruhig und wir fühlten uns sicher, in der Wohnung ebenso wie auf den umliegenden Straßen, auch wenn es mal später in der Nacht wurde.
Wohnung ist gut ausgestettet mit Küchenutensilien.
Im Bad fehlt ein richtiger Spiegel, dieser hängt dafür im Schlafzimmer.

Der Gastgeber ist höflich, will aber nicht unbedingt viel mit seinen Gästen zu tun haben. Bei Fragen und Problemen aber hilfsbereit. Wir empfanden das als angenehm, da wir sowieso den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren.
Beim Check out wird ganz gründlich kontrolliert, ob etwas fehlt oder kaputt gemacht wurde.

Der einzige negative Punkt ist die Matratze, welche sehr sehr hart war.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Das alles könnte ok. sein, wenn der Preis geringer und Gordon aufgeschlossener wäre. Aber Gordon behandelt seine Gäste wie Eindringlinge. Kaution, Verbote und Strafandrohungen im Vorfeld. Bei Ankunft unterschreibt man einen Haftungsauschluss und eine Inventarliste(!). Der Vermieter ist unfreundlich, er schließt sich in der eigenen Wohnung ein, achtet peinlich darauf, das seine Gäste das Klo nach jeder Benutzung tiefenrein putzen und - ja - er zählt das Besteck beim Auszug nach! Sorry Gordon, aber wenn man keine Menschen mag, sollte man seine Wohnung auch nicht als Ferienwohnung vermieten.
