Apartmentin the heart of Venice

We spent 5 nights at Giorgio's apartment. Giorgio is very nice, picked us up from investors, given tips on restaurants and supermarket. The apartment is very central, but quiet, unfortunately, in an old, very dilapidated building. The bedrooms are a good size, the beds comfortable and clean. The kitchen is quite small for it, everything is in place and functioning for quite spartan equipped. The bathroom is cramped, the shower very small, but again, everything works. The old terrazzo floors and beautiful furniture exude a certain charm, but still it would be nice for the price, if the doors do not drag on the ground, the worm-eaten beams are covered again, that would Grümpel cleared from the balcony, so construction noise and Teergerüche you really do not expect at this price also. With a little initiative could make this apartment again determined a piece of jewelry for which the price is reasonable then. The great location and friendly Giorgios same way the poor condition of the house in any case something again. And when one has ever had the chance to stay in a real Venetian apartment building where other tourists just walk past it, definitely you can experience a piece of authentic Venice.

Dieses Apartment ist sehr zentral gelegen. Leider ist es sehr reparaturbedürftig und nicht geputzt. Die Türen klemmten und gingen nicht richtig zu, das Badezimmer war mini, aber das Duschwasser okay. Das Treppenhaus wurde gerade renoviert. Der Preis somit zu hoch - hiervon ist abzuraten. the apartment is fairly central. Unfortunately it`s very much in need of many repairs and was very dirty! The doors stuck and one main entry door did not close completely-causing a draft in the apartment. The bathroom fixtures were very tight together and the shower not suitable for a larger person. The price was too high - not to be recommended.

The apartment is really charming and Giorgio is a friendly and attentive host. The apartment is old and not luxurious, but it has cachet, is clean, original furnishings and installations all worked. We felt comfortable and had for four (2 adults, 2 teens) enough space.

We were truly happy to stay in Giorgios apartment and will give it 5 stars. It is exactly as charming as on the photos. Two beautiful rooms, furniture with a sense for art history, a big comfortable bed, the kitchen and bath small but everything works. The place is central, but completely quiet. Having read the review by Anja below, we can say that our experience was different. Due to the extra oven, we didn’t have any problems keeping warm at all. We visited in February and had temperature – 5 outside one of the nights. Giorgio explained that he had opened the windows for a thorough cleaning just before Anja and co. arrived, so I guess that’s why she had difficulties before Giorgio brought the extra oven. We also have a different impression of the style in the apartment. We like old furniture (the huge rococo mirror and wardrobe - I couldn’t wait to unpack and move in), the tapestry and the record player – from the 20’ies? .. The apartment is old, maybe built around the year 1600 – and the windows need new putty to better keep the wind out and the stairs look as if they could fall apart. But the bath is not “kaput” as Anja describes it. Everything works and there’s plenty of hot water. It is just very small and somewhat rapidly painted over. Well, who cares when the appartment has so much atmosphere?

These so called. "Charming" apartment is thrown together half a ruin a la flea market, scruffy, COLD, about a cruel, ruin-like staircase with wet bar available ... to all superfluity also surrounded with a scaffolding and construction noise from 8 clock in the morning! (That should have been declared clear ADVANCE corresponding price reduction!) The week was a disaster! Especially since in Venice storm with snow gave way, and the rooms were cold, even wet mattress on arrival! Ice cold stone floors without a shred of carpet ..... I would benefit from holding Signed Giorgio that the second he Nice day, a Oelradiator through the sleet anschleppte, so it was hot then! :-) But this is home, if at all - only for the summer, and maybe just for young people to 25 ... and at a much lower price! For 100, -Euro/p.Tag found in Venice in February, good, comfortable 3-star hotels! As insolence I felt the sgn. "Bad"! Everything is broken, patched primitive painted over sloppy .... well, at least warm water! completely unclear how this dump could earn 5 Stars! It may be that you are in the hot summer different feel when you only sleep in it! But everything lure only dummy to guests .... With lots of humor and a fable for the discrete charm of an aesthetics of the ephemeral, the individual and the Provisional - which ultimately also in the wonderful city of Venice has an outdoor is surround-one in the house of Giorgio in good hands, but the residential location is very central and well developed. In this area I could imagine coming back into the apartment, a second time, probably not.

We loved staying with Giorgio, in this old apartment and charm in the heart of Dorsoduro, well located, good starting point for walks, 2 steps from the Accademia museum and Ggugenheim, near the Ca 'Rezzonico stop!

The property is very central. It is located on the 1st floor floodproof on a quiet street and a quiet courtyard. It is very spacious. The beds are very good, we all 4 slept well. The bathroom is small and use for large northern Europeans about folding, but everything is there, the water is warm, so perfectly adequate. It's good to have a kitchen, but we may have just made a 2 x Espresso, because in the city but tastes better. The owners are very personable and easy. Have a great holiday.

I really enjoyed the stay in Venice, the location is perfect and the apartment is fully met our expectations, an absolute must!

The (perhaps typical Venetian?) Staircase first dissolved from the anxious question, whether it was the time of our stay still survives. But if you experienced that in the apartment everything is working fine and everything is very clean, start the nice days in Venice. As said many times before: The situation is unique central but quit: Breakfast - 1 minute, delicious ice first 1 or 3 minutes, San Marco 12 minutes Traghetto 1 minute .... In the apartment are some beautiful old furniture and especially Giorgio's very well-drawn views of cities and landscapes. The small balcony we have discovered on the last day, the small canal at the courtyard immediately. Giorgio is a very friendly, helpful and uncomplicated host. He picked us up at the pier, although he had to wait for two hours due to delay our flight for us and a violent thunderstorm over Venice went down. After he had shown us the way, we had no orientation problems. We would rent the apartment at any time.
