Huge Double Room Heart of London

We rented this appartment only to find out, that we had rented a room in an appartment with the owner and her family and friends living there as well ... and at the same time. Some of the days of our stay there were actually five more people living in the appartment alongside with us. We chose not to use the appartment for anything other than sleeping. It made the stay much more expensive, but ten people in the same appartment (one bathroom & toilet) is not a holiday! The owner is friendly, the room was reasonably clean, but it is a rip-off to rent his place!

We stayed as a family in a threesome with 11 year old daughter there, Mary is super nice and helpful (WLAN use, print ticket, etc.). As long as she was there, we had a nice atmosphere roommate when she went away, we had the apartment for us. It is located in a monumental ensemble of apartment blocks around the turn of the century (1900), all there is in upheaval of gentrification, yet old, slightly shabby and peeling off towards renovated and super classy. Very charmy. On Sundays the market on Columbia Road with many fine alternatives ;) and Cockney flower vendors from the old school. Within walking distance, a great bike rental, London City bikes and then directly through the Financial District to the Thames. Are almost only driven wheel.

apartment is well placed for visiting London. the hospitality and kindness of Maria made us a bit forgotten our disappointment to the apartment. We did not feel very at ease by promiscuity with other people.

I was with my family (2 adults, 2 teenagers girls) in April 2013 with Maria as a guest. We enjoyed our time in London very much. The tip about the boat ride from Greenwich to Westminster we have implemented. It was a great experience. Since we were pretty intense way, of course we were only sleeping in the room. But we found a very good sleep, on the one hand, we were very tired, but also the excellent night's sleep in the quarter for us was a pleasant surprise. We look back on a very nice and enjoyable stay in London. Thank you Mary!

Stay at Maria was fine, and large room, with plenty of storage space for luggage and luggage. They also provided the towels and the breakfast: We could - within reason - use its stock. The first night was Mary in the apartment but then went on vacation. You feel somewhat freer. Also the distance from her apartment to the center was reasonable. On your next visit to London, I love her addresss in mind! C. Drum

We went to Maria with one adult and two teenagers and had a warm welcome. The room and the whole apartement were clean, very comfortable and everthing had this"warm touch". A big plus is the location, you are directly placed in London central, Brick Lane is a 5 minutes walk and the next tube is about 15 minutes to walk. Maria is very friendly, open hearted and helped us whenever she could ( we did a great walk to a secret market all together :-) ) and took care of us. We can highly recommend this place!!

Hello, we found Maria very friendly, the room properly. We just regret that there is no lock to the room, as we were shopping for breakfast, because there was nothing to eat, our milk is used and we had to wash our dishes in the morning, expressly requested by Maria. In addition, another room was rented, so Maria slept in the living room as his son when he came to l.appartement. This was annoying because we had l.impression to interfere all the time

The experience was positive. Mary very social and friendly. The apartment was old but despite the cold, the heat always kept him warm ;). The location of the apartment was good, 1min to bus stop, 3min of overground and 10min of the great Liverpool Street station.

Maria received us very well, as if it was part of his family. The apartment is well located for exploring London and its neighborhoods. The room was according to the announcement. Very quiet and close to the bus that goes directly to central London.

Maria is very helpful and the area is fantastic with its transformation to a place with small hip shops and relaxed dining. Be prepared to share bath, toilet and maybe have people sleeping in the living room. You will have a smashing stay if you can deal with that. This is the area to have as home base while in London!
