Central Double Room in London

Clean and warm place to stay in London, near tube- and busstations. Nice room, living room, kitchen. pretty cheap.

Hi Hester, i was very satisfied of my journey at the Bethnal green road room. It was nice and warm and the location in the east-end ol Londonisvery convenient! I shall comeback sometime, T.W.

The house is located 10 minutes by bus from liverpool station, in a quiet Arab-Muslim of those "little good." the room was very small and the window came drafts so it was cold. only positive note was that the whole (shared bathroom, bedroom and kitchen) were quite clean. Mrs. Hester has ever seen, we have managed in total autonomy. no tv pc in a common room. too spartan and in a neighborhood too little "safe"

It really was a last minute life saver and I am totally impressed both by the service and the host. Sincere Thanks and I am now a huge fan who will use this almost every week as I travel a lot!! Clean room, warm and everything that the host promised. genuinely good and much appreciated.

Apartment good and well connected. Only problem is the furniture pretty poor especially the bedrooms have curtains too light and sleep in the morning is almost impossible.

Completely satisfied when you do not have huge claims. On two floors, 4 rooms spread (ie, you do not live alone. The housemates also make one out of nothing, because they can hardly meet and are nice too if / were.) A large dining / living room, kitchen (big enough to cook for yourself) , a bathroom with tub and shower in the 2nd Floor separate toilet. We were warmly welcomed and guided through the apartment. Every day is cleaned. Even if everything is not necessarily the most stylish and cutting edge, but everything is clean and perfectly adequate. Especially if you go during the day anyway in London is. The shower is a little water, but it is not for the few days tragic. Wi-Fi is available free. Super easy access by tube and bus, which goes directly towards Oxford Circus. There is a huge shopping mall and nice larch in Soho. For people who need absolute quiet to sleep one probably a little too loud with the windows closed. Rooms maybe a bit musty and damp, but not too bad. So just lift the whole day and do not ;) Sun All in all, really happy for the price. I would actually drive again.

the flat was good, my room was very squashy but usable. if you book very early, keep in contact with her about your room. one shower for about 10 people = bad. the location was great everything close by. and a firework display. no tv in the front room was a bit disappointing but we used a laptop and sat on the sofas to relax. our room was on the 2nd floor, not good for mother with a walking stick.

First The location is quite good: bus stop almost right outside the door, reach two metro stations (Bethnal Green and Liverpool Street) easy walking distance, small restaurants and shops in unmttelbarer nearby bustling main street with an interesting multi-ethnic mixture mainly from the Indian subcontinent. Second Apartment: The apartment on the 1st OG is only accessible via a very steep staircase with partially missing handrail. Lounge and kitchen are clean. The double in the 2nd Floor facing the street is sparsely furnished but clean. The toilet is next door gewöhnunhsbedürftig: The toilet tank is at a relatively high base and for reasons of space can only be used sitting across the line for the light catches always with the door (!). The biggest shortcoming: neither the DR nor the toilet also have only a hand basin, so that one always on the steep steps first OG has to go down to go to the bathroom there. Conclusion: The Double in 2nd OG is not recommended and should be booked at most for 1 night. The apartment on the 1st OG, however, appears to be fairly decent.

The photo of the room on the site does not portray the less than acceptable standard of the room we were given. The photo was not the room we believed we had booked. Whilst we appreciated the fact it was a budget room and not ensuite, we did not appreciate the fact we would have to climb a step of 18" to get to the toilet which then could only be used by sitting sideways due to the lack of space to the front and side (lack of space being 4" or less). An alternative toilet was available but down a flight of stairs and through the kitchen to the rear of the building. Security was a joke (front door key dangling behind letter box) and individual rooms secured by a Poundshop padlock which would generally be used on suitcases. Once in the room the door could only be secured by what can be described as a cheap flimsy bolt. Fixed bars across the bedroom window meant the only apparant means of escape was down two flights of stairs to the front door - in our view a potential fire trap. Whilst the view from the window was not of great importance we would have preferred not to have been greeted with a view of rubbish and empty paint pots. A bonus was the fact that there was a PC with internet access which we made use of to make another booking for far better accommodation at very similar cost.

Everything was very straightforward. The accommodation was reached from the bus stop of the National Express (8 pounds per person from Stansted, every half hour a bus) to walk. The store at the property gabs all foods for the first supply. By the property to Liverpool Station 1 subway station. The hotel is not the newest, but absolutely! clean. Hester cleans without compromise! There is always a PC with Web access is available for free (in the lounge) The kitchen allows meals to be sent, we had breakfast every day!
