Calçada de São Vicente is the name of the street where this apartment is located in between the district of Graça and Alfama. You will feel like steping back in time when you get here. There is a sense of village living here: old ladies gossiping from window to window, kids playing in the street, the old yellow tramway passing by, old grocery stores.

The Famous Nº28 tramway that goes through all the picturesque Lisbon neighborhoods passes right in this street. There are a lot of atractions that you can visit from the apartment within a walking distance: São Vicente Monastery is one of those attractions, where you can contemplate Lisbon wonderful views from the top terrace as well as The National Pantheon. If you are interested in antique stuff and second hand bargains you can find almost everything at the Feira da Ladra flea Market every Saturday and Tuesday in Campo de Santa Clara. Viewpoints of Largo das Portas do Sol, Santa Luzia, Graça, Nossa Senhora do Monte, offer magnificent views over the city and the river. Don´t forget the São Jorge Castle and the Sé cathedral. A bit further east and down the castle hill you will reach Baixa (15-20m walking). But if you don´t want to walk take the old yellow tramway.

This area is well served with restaurants, especially if you climb to Graça square where you´ll find nice and cheap restaurants. Local grocery stores are also everywhere as well as a supermarket in Graça square.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT:

Check in after 15:00: You may check in directly at the apartment. You should call us after collecting your luggage at Lisbon airport, or train/bus station to let us know you are already in Lisbon. We should then meet in front of the building, give you the keys and all the explanations you may need. We will provide you with our contact details after your reservation is confirmed. Check in After 22:00 is subject to a 30 EUR fee.

Check in from 08:00 - 15:00: If you arrive early than 15:00 then the check in is at our office in central Lisbon. We will give you the keys there and all explanations you may need there. If the apartment is vacant and already cleaned you may go from the office to the apartment. If not, you may drop your luggage at our office before heading to the apartment (free luggage deposit). We will provide you with our contact details and office address after your reservation is confirmed.

Check out time is until 11:00: You should leave the apartment until 11:00 in the morning. However we are quite flexible to let you check out later than that, but that will depend on the bookings we have for the apartment! If you can´t stay later than 11:00 we will be happy to let you drop your luggage at our office (free luggage deposit).

CLEANING AND MAINTAINACE / TOWELS AND BED CLOTHING

The apartment will be ready and cleaned for you before your arrival. Fresh towels and bed clothing are also provided and all is included in the total price. You will be given a set of towels per person.
- Stays longer than 7 days: you will be provided with 2 sets of towels/ person. Any extra set of towels has a 10 EUR cost.
- Stays longer than 10 days: you will be provided with 2 sets of bed clothing for each bed. Any extra set of bed clothing as the following cost: 8 EUR for single beds and 10 for double beds.
- Stays longer than 15 days will have a weekly cleaning comprised on the total price. Any other extra cleaning has a 25 Eur cost.
- The final cleaning is comprised in the total price, so you don´t have to clean the apartment deeply. We only ask you not to leave it very dirty like dirty dishes pots and pans, empty bottles of beer, wine, etc…


BEHAVIOUR

Please bare in mind that you´ll be staying in a residential building. You´ll be expected to respect other residents in the building. Please observe that quiet is between 10 PM. And 10 AM. Any loud music or noise observed between these times may result in immediate eviction.
Pay attention to eletric devices when leaving the apartment. Don´t let them turned on as well as lamps, lights, and candles. Also don´t forget open windows on rainy days.

Quintinha Heights - Light and Stunning Views

We were staying in the Rua da Quintinha rented by the Lisbon Experience Apartments. In principle, it is a very nice apartment and the people from Lisbon Experience Apartments were friendly. BUT: Although it is mentioned on the website that the apartment has been renovated in 2010, it is already in a bad state and many things are broken or really dirty, especially in the bathroom (e.g. day bed in the living room, toilet flusher, mirror and tapware in shower broken, shower curtain and footmat dirty). Moreover, the whole apartment would greatly benefit from a thorough cleaning. This would not be a great investment for Lisbon Experience Apartments. When we asked them to fix the toilet flush, they promised to look after it but nothing happened. So only two of five stars, sorry.

Het appartement is prima gelegen. De indeling is ok voor 4 personen. De keuken en de handdoeken waren niet super schoon. De service ( o.a bestellen taxi) was verder goed.

Apartment is really nice and location is good - really close to Barrio Alto, tram 28 etc but on a quiet street.
Arrived late and had a rather unfortunate issue with the key which meant we couldn't get in on the first night.. however the hosts we're very helpful in fixing this for us and covered extra costs incurred.
Would recommend.

Excellent location, quiet, yet in a very lively district. Close to public transportation.

Spacious apartment with lots of doors and high ceilings. Very beautiful. Very noisy, but we did not experience as a family.

We missed some useful things in the kitchen: a teapot, a good corkscrew, wine glasses.

The location to the centre of Lissabon is great, however, it is very noisy during the night.
The balcony is nice but the furniture is bad.
