Room with Private Bath 15 minutes to Midtown, bus 24/7

M&J have 2 or 3 properties in the Union City area. When I arrived immediately after the storm the one I'd booked had no electricity and they were able to fit me in elsewhere in a smaller room than I'd booked but gave me a refund. The house was well-appointed, clean and comfortable, and honest value for money. The location was interesting in a bustling Hispanic neighbourhood, within easy bus reach of Manhattan, and a solid walk through pleasant streets to the ferry. I would stay there again.

The stay at Mary loved it. We immediately felt comfortable. The apartment is very nice, a good breakfast all there. Connection to Man-hattan really good. Maria is a very nice and easy hostess. We would stay again at any time with Maria. Only small drawback: the apartment is very noisy.

This was a great hotel with great facilities and an arbitrary breakfast from the fridge, a maternal hostess and great bus service into Manhattan. Unreservedly recommended for people who want to escape the hustle and bustle of Manhattan again. Spanish-speaking residential area with many typical good and inexpensive restaurants.

Me and my two children (16 and 14) have really enjoyed our stay in Weehawken. We had a spacious room for 3 and even our own bathroom! The apartment felt like our home away from home. Very nice and helpful hosts! With two kids it was very nice to start your day with breakfast at home. We could take what we found in the fridge/kitchen. The "chickenbus" to Times Square was always there to pick us up for $3 pp,even around midnight. I recommend this place to everybody who is looking for a payable stay to visit New York!

PERFECT! PERFECT! a great stay in New York, staying with nice breakfast, friendly and very helpful. We réelment 10 minutes from Times Square by bus. If voudez visit NYC go to sleep at Jay etMaria, you will be very well received!

Great stay! Just within two minutes walk at the busstop, small busses come there every minute, through the lincoln tunnel and you're in the city already for $3 pp. Jay and Maria told us that. That's the beauty if this kind of stay. Appartment was clean, enough space, full refridgerator where you could help yourselves, information about NYC, etc etc. Jay and Maria are very friendly, they also provide transport if you'd like to the airport, but give you privacy as well. Really relaxing place to stay, and very easy to get into New York on the buses. There are lots of New Jersey transit buses and also smaller minibuses that run all night so you are only ever 15-20 mins away from Times Square. The apartment is spectacular. The open living room and kitchen is just beautiful, especially with a grand piano to welcome you! Maria has put so much love into the decor and it feels like you've been given the keys to a real home. 1 main bathroom and 1 downstairs toilet shared between 4 people is perfectly fine and it always felt clean. The smaller double bedrooms are fine for couples but it might be a bit too cozy for friends. Go for the large double if unsure. To sum up - this place is awesome. You'll need a respite from the craziness of New York so this cool NJ flat is perfect. There is a reason why Maria gets such amazing reviews on wimdu... and it's not because she's paying me! I'd definitely go back again.

For my stay in the house of Milu was a very bad experience. Before going to NY I got in touch with her for directions to his house. She knew I was alone and that my English was not very fluent. I said send me a taxi and that only cost me $ 100 and normally cost $ 150. I actually came to find her husband, Jay, that clear unlicensed taxi charged me the money (I later learned that a taxi to JFK Mannhattan cost between $ 50-60). Then I get home and I realize I'm in New Jersey. Phew I thought. Her husband tells me that I have to get to Manhattan to catch a mini bus to take me to the city. That mistake was mine for not realizing the exact address. He had not yet seen clear Milu. Well the next morning I take the mini bus and all good but when returning from Manhattan (it was 9pm) I find the bus and I was very nervous, having a really hard time. Finally I got home by taxi very nervous. Upon arriving at Milu wrote by wassup please come to see me the next morning. Wine at 8:30 am and I explained what happened. I replied that she had been very clear with me and not returning my money because I wanted to go from there. In no time she informed me transport to get downtown and what I find worse is that I felt very little helped by her. I saw a person who helped his hosts, I did not help. Just a business for me, I said.Well do not recommend anything because I think the first thing people are and whether there has been a misunderstanding about. This person did not give me the necessary information and no interest anything for my arrival and if everything was ok. Of course, I have not recovered any of my money and when I left I did not have a simple message for her. For me, bad people and especially exploited.

Very friendly hostess is ... helpful tips hostess lives in the home and rented 2 rooms Nice room. Breakfast you prepare yourself to connect to downtown by shuttle bus very quickly ($ 3). Bus stops around the corner and runs from / to Port Authority (Times Square) ticket $ 3. Gladly again Highly recommended
