Vacation rentals in Idaho: the jewel of the United States
As one of the largest but least populated states (1.6 million inhabitants for 216,000 km²) in the United States, Idaho enjoys a fairly mild climate (more than thirty degrees on average in July and August) despite an average altitude of 1500 meters. The capital of Idaho is Boise City, which is also the most populated city (the only one to exceed 200,000 inhabitants). The inhabitants of Idaho are called Idahoans.
The Gem State - the official nickname of Idaho, is already very revealing. This is one vacation destination in the United States where you won't be bored. With its endless plains and the Rocky Mountains, you'll be closer than ever to nature in Idaho vacation rentals. But Idaho also has some great cities, so the diversity of the state will never cease to amaze you. Skiing or hiking in Sun Valley, fly fishing in Ketchum, mountain biking in Silver Mountain, the possibilities are endless. This is the advantage that Idaho can boast: between mountains, plains, natural parks and big cities, on the Canadian border, the Gem State is anything but monotonous. The influence of the Shoshone Indians and French-Canadian trappers can still be seen today, if only in the names of certain towns and rivers: Owyhee, Payette or Coeur d'Alene, a beautiful town surrounded by an eponymous lake. Among the must-sees in this area are Borah Peak, an impressive mountain rising to 3,800 meters, and the Snake River, a true natural attraction that passes through many tourist areas. One of these, Shoshone Falls, is so stunning that it has been dubbed the "Niagara Falls of the West"! Yellowstone National Park, one of the most famous national parks in the world for its geysers and colored rocks, is located on the border of Idaho with Wyoming (to the east).
