Lagos is among the most visited cities in Portugal, attracting many tourists each year due to its beautiful weather and lovely beaches. In terms of nightlife, there is everything you need here! Move on down to the lovely harbour where there is a lot of activity, particularly in the morning and you really should see the wonderful fresh Fish Market. You may also like to visit Church of St. Sebastian which has a fascinating bone chapel along with a wonderful view from the bell tower. In terms of beaches, there are many! All varying in size, shape and privacy. Ponta da Piedade is particularly beautiful and has a lovely lighthouse where you can take boat tours to the natural caves. There are also many activities in Lagos including mountain biking, kayaking and even taking a dolphin tour so take your pick! While you are there you should definitely try some of the Dom Rodrigos and Morgados cookies which are specialities using local products such as almonds and figs.There is so much to see and do in this beautiful country.
