First time in Sin City ?
If you have never been to Vegas, you are seriously missing out on a hell of an adventure. If you are planning your trip right now then get ready for the holiday of a lifetime. There is so much to do here you simply won’t be disappointed. We recommend you head down to Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas for a spot of people watching. It might not sound like much fun but believe us, with the cross-section of visitors and celebrities who come to Vegas, it's primetime entertainment. You could also grab a quick bite to eat in PBR Rock Bar and Grill at Planet Hollywood, where you can scan City Center, the Bellagio and the Strip all at once.
Cruising the Strip is required for any first-timer, by car or by foot, and since we're on the Strip, now's a good time to start. As you cruise, check out the signs for the Cirque du Soleil shows. We recommend choosing an accommodation that will position you nicely in between all the sights and attractions you are most interested in visiting. Wimdu offers a fantastic range of quality vacation accommodation in Las Vegas. Check in to on of our apartments in the Las Vegas strip or find an accommodation with a pool. If its shows you are interested in, there is so much to see with many permanent shows on the strip all year round. There's so much to do in Vegas besides gambling, but if this is your first time in town, you almost have to play a little. Many hotels offer free lessons for novices, but we advise you simply dive right in there! Its more exciting that way!
Fun beyond your wildest dreams in Las Vegas
What can we recommend to do in ? Most tourists are drawn towards the casinos and hotels around the strip, but there is a lot more to the city than just gambling and hanging out on the strip. is very spread out and there is a lot of space around the city. This makes for some interesting entertainment options. Why not try ‘Dig This’, a ‘heavy equipment playground’ that gives you the chance to drive some heavy machinery, dig up the ground and generally act like a big kid! There’s lots of funs things to do here and if you’ve never had the chance to operate a JCB then now’s your chance! We also recommend you visit ‘Battlefield’ Vegas, another of ’ attractions that takes full advantage of the open space. Spread over 5 acres, Battlefield Vegas has a collection of 350 guns from modern history. Fire a gun and see you how feel after! Despite being expensive and three hours long, we enjoyed going to the Cirque du Soleil. The show involves former Olympic gymnasts getting catapulted around the stage in various elaborate costumes – it’s certainly the style!
The Shark Reef Aquarium, located at the Mandalay Bay, is worth a visit. Featuring both indoor and outdoor areas packed with sharks, crocodiles and sting rays, this is a Vegas must-see! Head to downtown , the old part of the city. It’s a seedy part of town but it’s worth experiencing as Vegas is a legendary destination for down-and-outs and the depressing and drab nature of this part of town is another interesting side to Vegas. If you’d like a bit of culture, Vegas style, go to the Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio. For a slightly weirder experience, check out the zoo exhibits at Mirage. 40 minutes from Vegas is the Hoover Dam. If you’re tiring of the pace of Vegas life, head for this impressive feat of human engineering. You can admire the sheer scale of the dam and there’s the opportunity to water ski and sail on Lake Mead, the reservoir behind the dam. If you’re out in the desert for the day, you can also go to the Red Rock Canyon, 15 miles from The Strip. It’s a beautiful place to visit and there are some decent hiking routes through the canyon – don’t forget to bring lots of water!
