Good apartment with with location just outside Zone 1 with excellent communication to the City. Bus stop outside the door. Bus 2 and 88 will get you to Trafalgar Square, Picadilly or Marble Arch. Else Vauxhall station is 10 min walk up the road.
Clean and basic standard, beds are clean. 3 good bedrooms. Sleeps 6 in a good way. Only one bath and one WC. Could be crowded with teenagers in the family.

Nicks apartment is located in the city of London, pretty central near Vauxhall station. You can easily each all major attractions of the city by bus (line 2 or 88) or tube (Victoria line). The apartment itself however, did not 100% meet our expectations.

The apartement is clean, offers three reasonably large bedrooms and a tiny kitchen. Nick is a very friendly person who welcomed us on the first day. There was a bowhl of fresh fruit, some drinks and basic breakfast (toast, jam, butter) for the first day. This made our start in London easier.

The so-so things:
Besides being clean, the apartment is very worn out. The WIMDU description of the apartment is "elegant apartment" which it is not. The floor creaks heavily, the drains in the kitchen and in the bathroom wash basin are pretty clogged so that the water does not flow off properly. The kitchen table is damaged and so are the kitchen shelves. The cushion of the kitchen sofa is severly ripped. And the apartment is rather dark, especially the kitchen room which is located in the basement. These are however just annoyances which can be tolerated. After all, this is not Hilton hotel.

The bad things
The neighbours are loud. Very loud. I'm speaking of "hip-hop music all night until 3 AM" loud. So loud that my daughter (14) was actually able to sing along because you could even understand the lyrics. All four of us had to use ear plugs but even that did not really help because the heavy bass of the music could not be filtered out by the plugs. Even when there's no music from the neighbours, there is a good share of noise from the street (cars, ambulance siren etc.).

All in all:
As it is, the apartment would have been acceptable, given the fact that London IS pretty expensive and that the apartment is at a more or less central location. But the loud noise made the stay very unpleasant. Therefore: only a very limited recommendation from my side.

The apartment was very comfy and was perfectly suitable for our stay, especially the three (!) bedrooms were great. The host was very flexible about our arrival though, our flight was late. He also was very friendly. In every bedroom there were enough towels for us, so we didn't need to use our own. The free w-lan, tv and radio also made our stay even more enjoyable. The bus stops and the underground were very close and a supermarket was nearby. All of us (5 persons) would definitely recommend this apartment and come back next time staying in London.
