Good communication and making arrangements for check in/out was perfect. Was no problem to leave bags on check-out day and arrange a meet to pick them up late afternoon. Nice place for a stay close to downtown in a pleasant neighborhood. Had a nice stay. Thanks, Layne.
Layne is a wonderful host. She provided us with lots of information about Chicago as well as with fresh orange juice and bagel upon our arrival. The apartment is small but equipped with everything you need. The location is excellent, right on the corner Bus 66 runs every 10 minutes to downtown. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.
I can highly recommend this location.

The apartment was well chosen for a 4 day stay in Chicago. 5 min.s walk to the bus that took us to the center in 20 minutes. By bus and subway 5 neighborhood to O'Hare Airport. Layne took nicely against us and drew on his knowledge of Chicago in a committed way.
The apartment is rustic furnishings but that is what you need for a short stay. Two bedrooms with good beds.
The neighborhood is nice and there is no noise from the street
To soveværelser med gode senge.
A very good experience. The "cool apartment" really is cool. The flat, located in a safe, architecturally interesting neighborhood in the process of gentrifying, was everything we had hoped for: 1) close to the subway 2) close to downtown but also convenient to O'Hare 3) very quiet - there is virtually no street noise and no noise from within the house itself. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (okay, there are not soufflé pans, but you know what I mean), the beds are comfortable (unless you insist on a hard mattress) and sparely but attractively decorated. An added plus: the "cool apartment" houses several of Layne's paintings. Layne is a helpful hostess with an infectious love for Chicago and can give you sightseeing tips and answer any "touristy" questions you might have. I can recommend this apartment without reservation.
