8 Very good

It is a very nice apartment, very well equipped in a real Italian neigbourhood (small and lovely cafes, street market for food) and has a sunny balcony. There are different bus lines next to the apartment, the city centre is easy to reach.
And Marcello is a very friendly and helpful host.
The only negative thing is, that the house in which the apartment is, is relatively loud because of different building sites around and poorly soundproofed.
But nevertheless, we would again choose the apartment for a next trip to Rome.

It is a very good Little Apartment in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. The air is fresh - there is a wonderfull open market nearby - and several restaurants.

Bus 75 right to the centre.

Marcello is a caring and responsible host.

We will be back.

We had a great visit to Rome and the flat is a wonderful based to explore the City. The location is very attractive and there are convenient buses to take you to pretty much everywhere in the town. The flat is very spacious, attractively fitted out, clean and generally very comfortable. Marcello was a great host too. Highly recommended to everyone and we are definitely planning to go back when my twins are slightly more grown up to appreciate the great history of Rome!

We have found a very clean, adequately equipped for 4 persons apartment in a quiet residential area before. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The city center is easily reached by public transport. We can only recommend the apartment.

The apartment of Monica and Marcello was ideal. Super Clean, very cleverly set up. For four people the apartment was really spacious. Also, the location was perfect. The bus stop is purely in the city right outside the door, about 20 minutes walk to the Vatican or to Trastevere, 10 minutes to the Janiculum .. beautiful view from there to Rome. We went there by car and there was absolutely no problem to park in front of the door: a quiet area, respectively, and some half-height is also airy. The apartment is fully equipped with air conditioning. The keys worked perfectly. We have been received very affectionately, in the refrigerator was the most necessary yet, the bathroom was very spacious by Italian standards with bathtub and the drain, in Italy often a problem worked flawlessly. In short, we can recommend this apartment without deductions and would take it immediately. We had wonderful four days!

Our stay at this apartment has been wonderful! Comfortable and cozy, in a nice and quiet part of Rome. Marcello's brother Gino warmfully welcomed us in the evening with a bottle of whine, a couple of beers and a simple, but very welcome breakfast! The apartment is exactly as advertised and made us feel at home in Rome. Marcello has been very helpful and kind, so we would definitely recommend this apartment, and would return here ourselves.

It is a very nice apartment fully equiped. Marcello did what he could to make our stay as good as possible. We really enjoyed the evenings on the balcony and would like to return and rent the apartment another time. Thanks for a lovely stay in Rome. The last star is missing because of the steep hill we had to climp every evening with a stroller ;-)

We have lived as a family of four a few days in the apartment of Monica and Marcello, which is highly recommended. Modern and top shape. Marcello has been exemplary care of us and a lot of time for us and our numerous questions (etc. bus / tram, supermarket) taken. For the location of the apartment: to get to the center, it is necessary to take the tram and / or bus. The tram station, walk about 10-15 minutes down a hill, then up it has lasted a little longer. The buses run right outside the door, however, we found the partial connections (latency / Find the stations in the center) probably had something annoying or not quite penetrated the system. If in doubt, yes (for short distances) is also the taxi.

We had a fabulous time in Rome and this apartment was a big part of that experience. Monica and Marcello are professional, courteous, good communicators, and, best of all, wonderful people. The apartment looks just like the pictures, so no unpleasant surprises.
~The kitchen was nicely stocked with basics such as olive oil, salt/pepper, balsamic vinegar, and a few herbs--a lot of places get criticized for not having even these items. But Monica and Marcello go a step further as hosts. They provided pasta, sauces, cookies, coffee/tea, wine, and other items so we could easily eat there when we were too tired from a long day walking the city. There are two stores within walking distance, so it was easy to supplement these items to make a delicious meal or three! We enjoyed these meals out on the balcony. (The kitchen is also fully stocked with pots, pans, dishware, utensils, espresso pot, and so much more that would make a long stay very comfortable.)
~The apartment is on the edge of Trastevere in Monteverde, just south of Gianicolo. I was a bit surprised that it was on the hill, so we often did not go back to the city in the evening after a long day. Several easy bus lines and a taxi stand are available a block away—we usually walked down into the city and took a bus or taxi back up.
~Gianicolo is only a few minutes away and is a wonderfully lovely walk any time of day (no public bathrooms, so be prepared). We started and ended our stay with that walk--a great overview of the city during the first day, and a romantic way to say goodbye the evening before we left. Getting there is about a 7-minute walk along the top of the hill; the center of Trastevere is about 10 minutes downhill. Again, buses run frequently. (Get a Roma Pass—the buses are free for those three days.) There is a very convenient bus that runs across the Gianicolo hill to the Vatican and back—definitely take advantage of it. Monica and Marcello also left us some really helpful information and maps to orient us to the city, and Monica suggested some beautiful sites to see that we would have missed otherwise (grazie!).
~Free wi-fi was awesome! Helped us plan our days, and communicate with our families in the evenings. We had mild weather while we were there—only used the AC once, but it was nice to use the unit’s fan at night. (Side note: the sliding door to the bedroom thoroughly blocks out sounds if anyone is in the other room.) Though we used the stairs most of the time, there is a small elevator to get you up to the apartment, which was very helpful when we had luggage and groceries. Both the building and the apartment are very secure, so we had no worries at all. (Figuring out the door locks was an adventure! Thanks for rescuing us, Marcello.)
~Definitely a very comfortable apartment for a long stay!
~I can’t think of anything else that might be helpful to get you to stay here. I highly recommend this apartment, and I adore Monica and Marcello. Ciao ciao!
