Reviews of this property
October 2014

This apartment is described as "Spacious and comfortable for 7".
It is spacious and the location is fantastic. Everything else is a disaster.

We arrived into something that had been superficially cleaned and every minute encountered a new disgusting surprise.
The plates with dry sauce were a really nice touch. They matched really well the mismatched glasses, all 6 of them. Did I mention it was comfortable for 7?

Actually if you look at the first photo you will see the stains on the floor and the dust on the beams. It's still there.

Then the washer/ dryer did not dry despite the website saying it did - see it's still there at the moment I post this comment.
So the machine doesn't dry but for kicks there's also no cloth hanger.
When we finally decided to do a wash and improvise the drying we flooded half the hall when we opened the washing machine. It was empty of clothes but full of water!

In the comfortable category, one would expect the beds. Stop dreaming. The mattresses might have been comfortable when first bought at Ikea 10 years ago but not today.

Then there's the Wi-Fi. For a city that has had fibre optic for 20 years we were graciously offered a 42Mbps connection. Yes it's M not G.
They should offer a dial-up. This way it will really feel vintage and we can stop trying to use Google.

And of course there's no landline. Why would they? We did not ask for it. Maybe next time you will have candles instead of electricity. After all two third of the light bulbs were gone when we moved in.

Then, please be careful when you get out as you might never get back in.
You're given one set of keys - again for 7!
If you don't have that key you need to ring an interphone, not for the first door, but for the one inside. Of course the interphone is by the first door. The one outside. And to make it even more fun, nobody tells you which interphone is the one for the flat.
If you think it sounds complicated try opening these doors.

We know they can make signs as the flat was full of them: - keep quiet - this is not a hotel - we will call the police is you make noise - this machine does not dry anymore... - It really would not have taken much to explain how the whole door opening was working.

Anyhow, the good news is that if you get locked outside, the neighbourhood is awesome and very central. I hope you enjoy it.

Great big duplex apartment with 3 double bedrooms. Ground floor apartment heating wasn't working so going in February when it was snowing wasn't great! Emailed company who rented us the apartment but didn't get a reply. Apartment was in ideal location - near main RER line which took us to Disneyland and back to the airport.
Apartment was great, very rough around the edges but felt very Parisien. Communication from host was poor though. Very dissapointed! I had to ring them before arrival to see what was going on and to see if the booking was still going ahead as I hadn't received any communication since I booked it.

Spacious apartment ideally located in the center of Paris. Homely furnished and fully equipped. You do have a few stairs to get there. Beautiful view of St. Eustache. We had 7 people with a very pleasant stay. Advance good communication with the administrator by email.

The house corresponded to the photos but we were disappointed by the fact that the boiler was faulty on arrival and the radiators off .. we found home ice. We were unable to connect to wifi and the owner did not show up at home nor called us and despite numerous requests.

Very well located, you can not ask for more! We had a great time in this charming loft - despite some minor flaws (it is not all that works ...) - and the cleanliness was not perfect, I must say. But we recommende anyway - and there would!

The flat is ok and you can fit in easily about 7adults, nothing to fancy but flat right at the center and thats what you want it will take a bit till you learn how to unlock the doors as we been struguling for a first day. Flat is in top flor so i wouldn't recomend with someone who have walking dificulties, but everything there and I couldnt ask for anything more.

Apartment very well located in the heart of Paris, old but very cozy. Too bad he was dirty, food debris under the bed and even a broken glass in the kitchen furniture.

The appartment was very spacious and beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay. One problem though, was that right outside the appartment there is a big building project to create "Forum les Halles", which is supposed to become the new heart of Paris, with shopping centers and stuff. Because the wheather was warm, the appartment got very warm, especially in the loft bedrooms, and we had to open the windows at night. Since there were contruction workers outside from early morning and a lot of people in the streets it was hard to sleep because of the noise.

It was very convenient to find bathtowels and bed clothings. The kitchen was quite well equipped. We did not manage to get the internet to work.

Note that there are about 90 steps in the staircase up to the apparment.

We warmly recommend this lovely appartment which is close to the Louvre, metro, shopping, foodmarkets and restaurants. We were 7 people and it worked out very well.

This place suited our needs and we were ultimately happy with it. Eric was responsive to our questions but it seemed as though the rental company was still sorting out some kinks in the rental process. There was just one set of keys for all of us and they didn't know at first how to work the buzzer to let people in (it's a several floor walk up so this made for a bit of extra work). We had been promised wifi -- and, indeed, there was a system for getting wifi -- but it needed to be re-logged into every few minutes which was quite annoying. The toilet leaked and the toilet seat wasn't firmly connected to the basin and there was no drain for the bathtub. The stove burners seemed to be possessed by spirits-- sometimes working and sometimes not. And there was a bit of a musty smell in the place. Don't get me wrong: I would definitely recommend the place -- it was cute and large enough for four adults, two teenagers, and a baby and the location can't be beat (I was commuting to a conference and it's right on the RER). And its possible that by the time you're looking at this it will be in better rental shape (the folks handling the rental were really nice about responding to our concerns). But be prepared for something that's a bit quirky.
