Just off the beaten track, a lovely short walk from the canal area and from central station. A real houseboat experience with an outside and a cat. The Tante Piet provides everything you need for a relaxing and yet different holiday. Chilled, homely and authentic.

Please note: the Tante Piet is shared with the lady owner, she is super relaxed! Of course you will receive a key and you can come and go as you pleases, early morning or deep at night. The living room, kitchen and shower are shared with the lady owner.

Renovated from a 1928’s working ship, the Tante Piet is located on a green street with a village like atmosphere.
The double bed is super comfortable, in the guestroom is a washing basin and a separate toilet. The second bed is in the living room. The shower is separate with a second toilet.
The bedroom of the lady owner is at the other end of the boat, 17 meters apart from the guest room.

Please do keep in mind, if you like to come with 4 guests, which is very well possible, but the houseboat is no bigger than 65 sq meters.

A lovely small walk away of 20 minutes, you will be in the famous canal and Jordaan area. Full of unique vintage shops, bars, restaurants and neighborhood markets.
After a day strolling through the bubbling city center, it is wonderful to come home and relax in the garden. The place to enjoy a drink, breakfast or even a campfire! The sun is there from morning to evening!(A secret joke is to greet all passersby as if you live on the ship for years!)

In wintertime you can enjoy, snuggled up on the couch, the wood burning stove.
Upon your arrival l will be on board to welcome you if you like I can tell you about nice places to visit during your stay.

Your booking includes:-Bed linen and towels-Coffee and tea making facilities, Wi-Fi, Firewood, City guide map

Public transport is just around the corner.

Siet welcomed me warmly. We had a wonderful weekend at her house boat. It was very clean. Siet even put food for our breakfast in the fridge. That was very kind of her. I would love to come back some day.

We enjoyed staying on Siet's beautiful boat. The location is 3 minutes walk to a tram stop and 15 minutes walk to the Centre of Amsterdam. Siet is very friendly and accommodating and the boat has everything you need. A good choice when staying in Amsterdam.

I don't even know where to begin! what an absolutely fabulous holiday we had in Amsterdam! With a little trip out to Cologne thrown in for good measure! The Boat was stunning and in such an excellent location, we have never stayed so close to the centre of Amsterdam!! Our hostess.... Siet, what an amazing lady, she made us feel so welcome, our flight was delayed and we actually arrived late, but Siet greeted us with a warm smile and open arms. Throughout the entire stay she couldn't have been more hospitable, and it was our pleasure that she joined us in some late, and some very very late night drinking sessions!! I'm positive that we will be returning to stay with Siet ASAP, i'm also hopeful that we will be able to take a spin out on her motor boat next time :) an all round fantastic lady, boat and location!! would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wishing to visit Amsterdam 100% and 10/10 X

Very nice and authentic typical Dutch living boat, the boat is lying central and closed to the inner city of Amsterdam as well as not really far away from the main railway station Amsterdam. The boat rooms are clean and friendly styled. Many thanks also to Siet for their friendly hospitality. She is every day in good mood and gives you many helpful advice what you can discover in Amsterdam.

SIET help where they can with tips and an uncomplicated way.
The houseboat is well equipped - 15 minutes quiet walk to the center.
We felt very comfortable!
(The parking garage now costs 10 € / day, still very low).

Siets warm welcome with cool beer, practical advices for nice places to be and handlings of her perfect bikes on her beautiful red Houseboat was the beginning of a perfect week end. A Tasteful environment, an open athmosphere and a very easy going and warm host made the stay very pleasant. An open fire in the oven welcomed us at night, was else could you ask for? Thanks so much for a perfect stay so close to the center of amsterdam.

Cold Easter and a warm, cozy little room in the houseboat. The cat quickly secures the place on the sofa. SIET is an attentive hostess and withdraws if we want to be alone on the boat times. Great location close to the center! The train right next door is good to ignore if you can be lulled to sleep by the rocking of the boat. Simple but beautiful!

We had a delightful stay.
We were very kindly welcomed by our host Siet and pretty cat.
We thank her for her good humor and all his good addresses in town.
The boat is beautiful and conveniently located, close to the tram.
During our stay, Siet restored a second life to a small boat.
We promised to come try it.

Just so you can experience Amsterdam truly authentic and lives the charm and openness of this dream city with a little. The houseboat has cuddly atmosphere and cat Bubi is a real pussycat. It was super comfortable, centrally located and ideal for our stay. SIET is excellent advice, you have to ask and then only runs not like all the usual crowded tourist hangouts but experiencing Amsterdam from its most fascinating sites. The houseboat ar for us a real godsend, a direct hit.
