Mark est très accueillant et sympathique. Tout est propre et nous pouvions avoir accès à la cuisine. Il fait très calme dans son quartier qui est bien situé
My stay with Mark was a wonderful experience from the first moment on.
Although my cell phone did not work properly he took the pains to pick me up at the airport by looking up my flight and searching for me in the building. The way back saw a guided drive through downtown San Diego with lots of background information as well as useful recommendations concerning restaurants and sights likewise.
The house in total as well as the room and the bathroom designated for me were kept in excellent shape and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. A folder provided the most important information about the stay as well as good ideas for touristy stuff based on official brochures.
The garden of the house boasts a spacious and thoughtfully-furnitured patio with shaded seating that allow for enjoying the sight of a lush and well-kept garden while having a cold drink.
The breakfast was characterized by a large variety of cereals, different types of bread & bagels as well as juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt and preserves. The kitchen area was spotless and organized in a straight forward way that allowed for the swift preparation of meals.
Mark was a very caring and attentive host that gladly and promptly provided information about all aspects of life in San Diego I encountered (e.g. where to buy groceries, how to use the public transport system, etc.). He was great company to chat with and could converse about a multitude of subjects.
A major plus from my point of view: his dog that added to the pleasant atmosphere of the whole house.
It is pertinent to note that Mark also drove me to the train station on the day of my departure - a service not every host would be willing to povide.
In total, I can fully recommend staying with Mark and would book a stay at his house upon a next visit to San Diego in a heartbeat.
