Cheap, clean and convenient rooms near Oslo central station
Floor No.(with elevator)
- Elevator in building
There is a comfortable double bed in all rooms, in addition I can put in an extra guest bed for a 3d person. All rooms are in a modern and well isolated building (good in cold Norway) and have the following amenities:
- Comfortable double or single bed
- bed linen and towels provided
- Modern and stylish bathrooms with heated floor
The location is the best, just a short walk from the Oslo main station, the main streets of Oslo and several tourist attractions. There is a 24/7 open grocery store around the corner and there are several cafees, resturants and pubs closeby.
The rooms look differently, but they are all decorated nicely, you can see some examples by looking at the pictures. If you want a specific room, ask about avilability.
Keep in mind that 3 people in a room can be a bit thight, but still a cheap and comfortable alternative for shorter stays.
The ground price is 65 EUR for two people, and then 30 EUR extra for each additional person.
I'm an experenced host. I've welcomed more than 200 happy guests from all over the world. You are most welcome.

We enjoyed the hosting. The room is small but comfortable and Jan has been very friendly and helpful.

The room was very simple but OK. Problematic is erroneous translation of the Wimdu-Advertisement from English into non-English languages. According to the Dutch version is a kitchen accessible and included in the price. But arriving in Oslo, is wasn´t. That makes a difference due to expensive costs for going out for dinner in the city of Oslo.
What was really really bad: on discussing the missing kitchen issue our host was pretty cooperative and proposed even (by himself) to transfer a small share of the money back as compensation. Unfortunately, when we asked him to stick to his promise, he ignored several email ever since. This is not just impolite but simply a no-go.
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is very close to the central train station which is a huge plus. You can also easily walk to the Opera House and bus lines. It was clean and quiet.
Jan was a very considerate and nice host! He arranged everything perfectly and the apartment was tidy and prepared as we arrived.
The apartment itself was great. Clean and cosy, nicely furnished and the bed was so very comfortable as I have rarely seen it when traveling. Distance to city centre and train station couldn't be closer (well, maybe for the triple price) and a supermarked is just in the same building.
We would choose this accomodation always again for a trip to Oslo.:)
To begin with Jan is very easy to communicate with and answered every mail and text without delay. He was very helpful arriving at the apartment and was able to let me in early and allowed me to stay some hours later. He is a friendly welcoming helpful person. The room is well-located about 300 yrds from the Bus Terminal as Jan says. but come out on side of terminal looking left towards Skatt Ost building and follow in this direction - it is really close. The room is on the 7th floor with a view over roofs opposite giving a sense of space and light. It is just a room though, a little tight for space, and not much room for clothes or suitcase. The wifi is excellent. The double bed is comfortable. I slept really well, The room is really quiet. Jan occupies the rest of the apartment but you would hardly know he was there, yet you know you can always contact him quickly if needed. There is a shower/toilet right next to the room, with a washing machine and dryer, and a microwave too in the entrance hall. Oslo need not be too expensive. The room is good value. And there is a cheap supermarket down below. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants around the corner on Gronland, a mainly immigrant area in the east of town. You are just a brief stroll also from the Munch museum. The room is not far from town centre. Oslo is small and one day I walked all the way from Jan's to Vigeland Scupture Park (a must) on the other side of town and it is not that far. There are trams and buses which pass close to the building running alongside the train station and bus terminal. It is easy to catch a tram or bus to Ekeberg hill for example or across town to the city hall and harbour. I recommend the 72 hour Oslo pass, it is good value if you wish to visit museums, as it includes unlimited free travel around town. I thought Jan's room was a good option close to the city centre once you are aware it is just a bedroom for one person or perhaps a couple. I have no hesitation in recommending Jan.
