A great place to stay - just 4 blocks away from the center of Cusco. The staff were very friendly and obliging. Gave me some very good advice about my trip to Machu Pichu for with I am very grateful (meant I didn't miss the train back to Cusco). The rooms are basic but very clean. For the price it is excellent!

Cuzi Wasi.
The room: very small and difficult to move around in. It has a small ensuite but our shower sprayed everywhere which meant you got wet hair even if you didnt want. The bed seems smaller than a double and is pushed agaist the wall. The top of the bed (no bed head) can't be positioned against the wall so you arent able to sit up in bed. The room is cold and has only a window facing inward toward the inner atrium sitting area that is cover. Whilst we were there that area was grim, poorly lit and not inviting at all.
I was kindly given a heater after requesting same and after 3 changes had one that could take the chill off the room. I was a little affronted on arrival
having to fill in all persoal details in a running book which immediately showed previous guest details. name Dob Age home address occupation and designating your relationship status with the other person.

I had asked to book THEIR SACRED Valley Tour as we had limited time to shop around. I had hoped that information from a hostel where you stayed would be helpful. We thought the tour could have been easily done in half a day. The scenery was quite nice from a bus but information about steep climbs in advance (BEFORE BOOKING) and also paying an overrated admission fee of 70 sole ( US $25) pp to enter two small inca areas easily visible from the road.
In fact much time was used to take unwitting tourists to market places (village market, silver jewellery, and a Indian Family Home that does weaving etc. Similar practices that occur in Asia presumably with a commission payable on any purchases. All OK if you are informed in advance before you waste much of your precious travel time doing things of no interest.

Machu Picchu. This was organised from Australia and we wanted to go to Aquuias Calientas over night so we could ascend to Macchu Pichu.
