We had a great time at Nicolas' house. Although we didn't see him much because we spent the whole day out, but the few times we talked to him he was so nice and kind.
The house is good, but you have to be carefull with the bedroom. The main bed is absolutely wonderfull, but the other two can be a problem. One is just a mattress and the other is a sunbed. We were four so we managed it discarding the sunbed and using just the mattress for one and the main bed for the rest.
The Kitchen and the bathroom are nice, and Nicolas let us make ourselves tea bought by himself. The elevator is small but usefull for the luggage and the house has wooden floor so it sounds a lot but it's ok. About the location, is perfect because you are just five minutes away from Gare du Nord to take the RER or Metro (if you arrive at Charles de Gaulle airport you will have to go here) and five minutes away too from Barbes Rochechuart (Metro Line 2) which is usefull to go to Montmatre and to arrive to Les Champs Elysees and Porte Maillot Metro Station (the one you have to take if you arrive at Beauvais airport)
We had an amazing stay at Nicolas apartement. It's a really nice room with the window to the street side but it's not noisy at all. Nicolas is a very attentive host, you can ask at any time and about any thing you need or wanne know. The proximity to the public transport system is very good. It's only five minutes walk to the main station. By only few minutes walk you also reach different supermarkets and also a very cheap depatment store. I would prefer Nicolas apartement instead of a hotel in any case at any time.
We had a fantastic time in Paris and a great stay in the appartement of Nicolas. Thanks for the great tips and your hospitality. The next time we will go to Paris we hope to stay again at your place.
Great place. Centrally located. Nicolas is a great host. Thanks for everything. Would definitely go back. .
The apartment is good situated, cosy and quiet.
Everything was in accordance with description and photos.
I'm very satisfied and I would like to come to Paris again and stay there.
we had a very nice stay in Paris. One part of that good stay was the comfortable appartment at Nicolas and the good hints from Nicolas, which he gave us. He was a very kind and open-hearted host. We could us all stuff of his kitchen and the toilet and the bathroom where always clean.
I hope you also enjoy your stay at Nicolas.
The room and the apartment are lovely, very cosy and authentic, right down to the vintage creaking floorboards! The location could hardly be better -- just a stone's throw from the Gare du Nord station and a brief stroll to the Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis which is full of food shops open 'til late. Nicolas has a "can-do" attitude and was very welcoming and helpful. We will certainly be back in touch with him next time we visit Paris.
First wer were impressed by how short the way from Gare du Nord to the flat is.
By walking you can reach Sacré-Coer and the Montmartre district with ease.
Public transport is no problem, because you live right next to Gare du Nord, which means: metro, busses, Trains!
Also the flat is really nice with its old floorboards, high ceilings, old doors and a unique, fancy interior.
The flat is in the 4th floor, either you take the stairs or after a long walk round Paris the elevator, but you should not have claustrophobia, there just enough space for about 3 people without luggage.
About the room we slept in:
it was a nice cozy chambre with a bed for two people and we got two mattresses to sleep on the ground.
The bed was quite comfy, the 'floor bed' not quite.
For us it was ok, because we only stayed for 3 nights, but in my opinion it's more a two person stay or maximum three people.
All in all it was great to have a room in this wonderful city, in such a central location, we had a great time!!
A very inspiring place to stay.... a wonderful flat in this incredible city ....with a very relaxed and charming host.... Thank you for this experience!...
