Well located, a clean and cosy room, and a warm welcome from Mathew - thank you very much! I had all a needed and had a great time. The only minus is that it's a bit noisy from the pub opposite the street and from the other rooms in this house.
The flat is perfectly located in Marleybone in walking distance to Oxford strreet, Madame Tussauds and Hyde Parrk. Matt was very friendly and supportive. Supermarket and bank closeby. Kittchen, living room and bath are very well equipped / cozy / clean. If you travel with 4 there is enough room however it is hard to find for all a place to eat; we had to do some moving of furniture to achieve that. The problem for us was that the bedrooms in particular the beds / matrasses would urgently need renewal. Sleeping was a challenge for all of us! Therefore all in all just a 7.
We stayed there from the 3rd until the 7th of September 2015.
Very nice house and host. We didn't meet Paula but she gave us a really nice "welcome gift" (some peanuts and red wine). Matt was very nice though we were half an hour late on the day we arrived. The day we had to leave the apartment at 10.00 but Matt kept our luggage until 14.00PM, that was very nice of him!
The house is very well located, with Baker Street and Merylebone Station, and a lot of bars, pubs, restaurants and shops. If I were going to London again, I'd stay in this house again without a doubt.
Thank you for everything Paula and Matt!
I stayed at Paula's apartment for 5 nights. The location of the apartment is very good, just a few steps to the Bond Street. Although the bathroom needs to be shared, but it was always empty whenever I needed to use it. The kitchen is simple but enough to leave some breakfast in the fridge and cook something simple with the microwave and stove. Matt is great, who gave me a warm welcome and explained everything in detail.
The over all trip was very good. Matthew is very friendly. The room itself was very small, but clean. For just a city trip it's enough. The kitchen wasn't on the best level. The cooking plate stayed cold forever so it was only possible to use the oven.
Location was great but apartment needs some maintenance. In addition there was a strange smell at our arrival,
Matthew was very friendly and helpful!
I truly enjoyed staying in this room during my stay in London. The easy access to Oxford street and the Jubilee line made getting around super easy.
The room was exactly as pictured and was quite clean. Mathew (who will be meeting you at the flat) was a great help in getting situated and acquiring anything I needed (ironing board and power adapter). He is a incredibly nice man and I wish I could of said goodbye to him.
This neighborhood is very relaxed and easy to get around. I never once felt like it was unsafe during the night or day.
If you stay here during the cold months the heater in the room will make it feel like the tropics. So for your own sake, don't turn the heater on 12.
If you are trying to be frugal on food, across the street from the apartment is a place called Bonne Bouche Patisserie. You can buy very tasty sandwiches for £1.50, plus as many sweets as your body can handle.
If you're looking for an authentic, non-tourist pub, try the Tudor Rose. It is a 3 minute walk west and the food/drinks are reasonably priced.
Very nice apartment, really very centrally located! We would definitely book again. The contact was very good. We were even allowed to leave our bags in the apartment yet, since we are only in the afternoon flew back. Thanks for everything :-)
Sehr schöne Wohnung, wirklich sehr zentral gelegen! Wir würden sie auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen. Auch der Kontakt war sehr gut. Wir durften sogar unsere Koffer noch in der Wohnung lassen, da wir erst nachmittags zurück geflogen sind. Danke für alles :-)
