Self Catering Huge Flat 15 min to Times Square
Our neighborhood is residential, green and safe. Being very close to the Hudson River that separates it from Manhattan makes this a top location to enjoy Manhattan’s breathtaking skyline, day or night.
This is a huge light-filled 3 bedroom 2 .5 bathroom 1600 sq feet apartment in Union City, NJ. It is 15 min bus ride to Midtown near Times Square via the Lincoln Tunnel. As surprising as it may seem, this place is closer to Manhattan than other places located in Upper Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx.
Our apartment is a few blocks away the bus station which is serviced 24/7 to Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan, right next to Times Square (Read further down for more details about transportation).
We will provide you with detailed info/options on how to reach us from the various airports, info will include the option of our private shuttle (less expensive and more interesting than a taxi).
This spacious private flat is comfortable and quiet - it has a two queen beds, each room with large closet with hangers and night tables. The third bedroom has two single beds and a spacious closet. We provide bed linens and towels, but not maid service. Extra guests can be accommodated on a fold down futon, and if required, a double airbed.
You'll have two full bathrooms and one powder room. No waiting for the bathroom!
You don't have to bring bed linens, towels or a hair dryer, we will provide you with fluffy clean towels and all you need to feel comfortable and at home!
The house is equipped with central heat and air conditioning. High speed wireless internet, and other convenient things like iron, city guides, maps, etc. are provided.
Feel free to message me if you need any further details.
This private flat has beds for six people, and a double futon. If needed, we can provide you with a double air mattress for an additional 2 people.
About Transportation: I have received many questions from people who don't believe it possible to be outside of Manhattan and so close to it, yet it's true. Here are some facts about transportation:
1. Apartment is 5 minutes (5 blocks) from the 24/7 bus to Times Square and 1 block from the city bus (stops at 1am).
2. The bus is very frequent, I rarely wait for it more than 2 to 3 minutes. Most of the time you won't even wait at all. You will step to the bus stop and a bus will be there.
3. Buses are available 24/7 so you can catch them even when you spend the whole evening out.
4-The price of these express buses is $3 onboard, and $2.50 if you buy tickets at ticket window #23 at Port Authority Bus Terminal
5. You won't find these buses timetable or route on the internet, it's a private bus company that runs many lines in and out of Manhattan
* We provide basic breakfast food items and you can prepare your own breakfast. Please carefully wash, dry and put away your dishes. Lots of restaurants, cafes and grocery stores near us in case you want to start your day with a more substantial meal.
Private parking can be arranged with our neighbor for $10 per day, payable in person.
* Minimum stay 3 nights
Many ask about the price and extra fees and how to pay. When you put in the dates and number of people you will get our total cost. There are no taxes or cleaning fees on top of this, but Wimdu adds their fee.
All the payments are safely made with credit card to Wimdu when booking. They hold the money until the day you check in and will then transfer it to us.
Bookings with us are done with the "strict" cancellation policy and all cancellations should be done through Wimdu. This being said, if we manage to re-rent the place the nights you have canceled we can give a bigger refund to you than what the strict cancellation policy dictates. The earlier you cancel the bigger the chance that we will find other guests.
To confirm that you have read the entire description, please include the secret word "rockefeller" in your inquiry to me.

House rulesCheck-out is before 11am.
Please make sure that all windows are locked and lights turned off when you leave every day. Please also lower heat or air conditioner, as the system is very efficient, the home will warm up or cool down very quickly when you return home.

Check-in is after 3pm. We are not able to accommodate early check in, but we are happy to help you organize baggage storage in Manhattan.

I can't rate the apartment, because Milu gave use a house close to the apartment after the air condition broke. The house was perfect. Very clean and nice. There are a lot of restaurants and small shops. It is so easy to get to New York, try the "chicken bus". Thank you Milu
My friend and I loved our stay in Maria's apartment! Maria was already there waiting for us at check-in and gave us a great orientation to the apartment. The 'chicken bus' outside the post office was awesome and an easy way to get right into the city. The apartment was clean and tidy and well equipped with supplies. Thanks Maria for an amazing time in NYC!

We are a family of 5 people and stayed in the Jefferson Street apartment for 9 days in August 2015.
The apartment is very spacious, has modern interiors and is equipped with all usual things you would need for a comfortable stay. There is a laundry shop across the street and a shopping center in about 7 minutes walking distance. The neighborhood is relaxed and easy going although New York is just across the river and Hamilton Park (offering a spectacular view on the skyline) only a short walk away.
Commuting to and from New York is easy with local buses stopping close to the apartment that take you in 10 to 15 minutes through the Lincoln tunnel to Times Square. We never waited more than 5 Minutes for a bus. A single bus ride is $ 3,- and not included in the Metrocard for the New York subway system.
The most valuable asset of the apartment however is Milu, the landlady. She is not just very friendly but also very competent when her guests need advice or help with little problems.
We fully recommend the place.
The Apartment was as discriped. Fully equiped, nice Interieur, quite neighbourhood. It´s just a 20 Minute trip to get to Times Square.
It was a very nice trip to New York and the apartment was excellent! It was all very clean and overall everything was perfect. Milu is a very nice host. You are in 15 min at the Time Square. This is really very good.
Thank you Milu for the great apartment.
You are the first choice if I'll visit New York again!
Just Wirth Simple wird's : Absolutely Perfect !!!!

This Spot is a absolutely Must for everyone who wanted to have
a nice and relaxing Trip to New York.
Bus Station and supermarket within Short walking distance.
Wie surely will recommend this to our Friends and further.
Many thanks again.
Excellent appartment to unwind after a full-on day in Manhattan. The local busses are great, although we never got in Manhattan in 5 minutes, more like half an hour due to traffic jams in the Tunnel. Safe, friendly neighbourhood with restaurants nearby.
We have been in the apartment for one week in May and we can totally recommend it. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and exactly as described. The fridge was large enough for the large pizza boxes from Bari`s Pizzeria ;)
Maria was a friendly, helpful and reliable host and she had useful tips for our stay at the check-in.
Near the apartment, one can find super markets, pizzerias and an ATM. To get to Manhattan, the chicken bus is the best choice, it costs 3$ per ride and we never to had wait for a bus. One trip takes about 15 minutes, depending on the traffic. It stops near the Times Square, at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. One morning, we tried the ferry at Lincoln Harbor. We could not buy tickets on board, but had to download an app and buy the tickets online.
We had a wonderful week, and this apartment is definitely a good choice for a trip to New York.
