Description
Description
All guest say they have cleaned the apartment before leaving, and all guests say as well that they found the apartment dirty when arriving. If this is too complicated for you, then you better don't rent this apartment.

This very basic studio has space for 1 or 3 (maybe 4) persons. It is very near Ramblas and Plaza Reial on the roof. You can see over the old town of Barcelona.

There are 2 studios on this roof. Here we talk about the larger one. In the room at the back there is a double bed and in the room at the front there is a futon sofa that converts into a bed. As the apartment is slightly set back from the house front you can sleep without ear plugs.

I rent this apartment only to nonsmokers who understand the meaning of 125V and 1000W. The apartment is without any luxury and everything else than perfect, and it is well possible that sometimes something does not work. There is a PC and from a neighbour we get WiFi, but it also does not work all the time. We try to keep things working, but we are not always around, so we expect you to understand.

If you are Russian you will only like this apartment if you have already been living in a datcha.

In winter it can be fairly cold. There is a heater that works with gas bottles that is a bit tricky to user and there is a small wood stove that needs also a bit understanding to operate. The apartment instructions will tell you more.

The fridge runs on a transformer that makes 220V. If you connect a powerful device there, then you will burn the transformer. It has happened twice last winter and now we are using our last transformer. We have no spare transformer anymore. Cost of replacement about 50 Euro.

Up to the apartment there are 100 steps. At the top of the stairs there is a door. There you go on the roof. This door has to be locked all the time! The neighbours insist on that.

The house entrance downstairs has to be locked by key after 8 in the evening and on weekends.

The terrace is not private. Sometimes the neighbours come to hang their washing.

Rubbish bags can be left outside of the house entrance after 8 in the evening. (Do not leave them on the terrace.)

No jumping around on the terrace. It is also forbidden to use roller skates or any vehicle. This would damage the terrace and cause problems on rainy days.

You should find clean sheets in the apartment and before you leave you have to go to the laundry to wash the used sheets of the previous persons, so that the persons after you will also find clean sheets. If the weather allows it you can hang them up for drying. Best is you also prepare the beds for the next persons and leave a note that it is done.

Once I have your booking I will send you a detailed description of the apartments, with all the odds in it. If you then decide within one week that you do not want to rent the apartment, then you cancel with Airbnb and request flexible policy and I will agree.

If you book less than 3 Weeks in advance and if you arrive after 9pm, then you have to give 15 Euro to the person who will give you the keys; after midnight 20 Euro.

Quite often our guests arrive in the morning at the flat. If there are still other guests in the flat, then the new guests can usually leave their luggage. Then they go for a walk until lunch time to take over the apartment. In Spain this is at 2 p.m. The other guests who might leave only at night, will then leave the apartment, but may come back later again to collect their luggage. If you want to be sure that you won't have to arrange like that with other guests then it is best to rent the flat one or two nights longer.

At youtube you can find a walks thru the apartment Atico 2 Barcelona zapfig.

Before booking the apartment I would like that you write me a few lines in English or German. I want to be sure that you are understanding my offer.

Rating 3 out of 5 stars.
Central position and good to go down too late to grab a bite or take a ride on rambla.terrazza shared but we had problemi.grande spaziosa.in October and died of heat !! The apartment quite spartan .... we expected a little more well tended .... but they arrange anyway (we are a young couple!)
Upon our arrival we had no internet but we managed to have the wifi neighbors.
I think missing a tv least x the company or downtime or relaxation! Apart from that we still like getting our vacation!

8 Very good

Staying in Barcelona was very nice, the apartment is centrally located and easy to get super good to the metro and restaurants. However, you notice that the apartment is already older and has not been cleaned properly for some time. Furthermore was pretty stupid, that the toilet flush was broken. But for the price it was okay and just for the time it worth going there for a holiday.

Was good. Simple Atico in a central location. Nice and competent landlord, nice neighbors. Highly recommended.

We spent 5 pleasant days in a beautiful and interesting city. The apartment is very well located in the old quarter and incredibly low noise despite the hustle and bustle in the corner until dawn, when the night owls are replaced by delivery drivers. Only downside the number of flights of stairs: 6. But the view from the terrace is worth it.

Great experience.
Apartment ideally located next to the Rambla, in the heart of the city close to comfort, shops, market and transport. The charm works at the entrance to the terrace overlooking the city. The house is simple, but everything is there. The subsistence minimum. Very good contact with the owner, and thank you to the neighbor for his welcome.
For manic refrain, for the adventurous I recommend! Last info as we doubt if we are on the roofs, there are stairs .... I expected there to be nearly 105 steps before reaching the little cocoon.

Everything worked out. Keys already in Zurich. The terrace is worth gold! In the rooms you can not expect great comfort, but they are okay. Bath / shower with hot water and the 2nd Room small kitchen with gas stove, everything worked perfectly. Terrace is like saying the best thing about the apartment and of course the location! Carrer de Ferran, in the Barrio Gotic, the entrance passage to the Placa Real: a great location! In short, we were very pleased and have enjoyed my time in Barcelona. Heike and Georg

Great location with roof terrace with views over the city. Is perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and the quaint neighborhoods just outside the door. Highly recommended.
