Description
Description
This colorful, artistic one-bedroom apartment is located on the east side of town in a neighborhood that hasn’t been discovered by tourism yet. Among the locals the East is famous for its variety of special, affordable restaurants, shops and bars. Being the most multicultural neighborhood of town you can find here food and products from all over the world.

The apartment is located on the ground floor with a big garden. On the front side of the house you will find the bedroom with double bed. On the backside the living room and kitchen with a view on the amazing garden. The sofa opens into a very comfortable double bed. There is a TV + DVD available for your entertainment and cable TV and Wi-Fi are free of charge.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, a fridge, a kettle, a coffee machine and an oven. Beside that it’s fully equipped with everything you might need to prepare a nice breakfast, lunch or a romantic dinner. A washing machine is available for those who want to do some laundry.
The bathroom contains a shower and sink and there is a separate toilet available.
The apartment has a lot of atmosphere with its high ceilings and original details. The colors, the wooden floor, the handmade furniture and the art all around give it a bohemian feel.
The garden with covered terrace offers a relaxing place to sit. Facing south it’s sunny during the day and for chilly evenings there is a fireplace to stay warm. There is a barbeque available.

With a tram stop just around the corner the city center is reachable within 10 minutes. But the neighborhood itself is certainly worth discovering; the Dappermarket for all your groceries, the Oosterpark to chill between the locals, the Tropical Museum for some cultural input, the Zoo Artis, or Brewery “het IJ” to drink a locally brewed beer in a real windmill. Besides the eternal Arena, the area has recently become home to two of city’s more inspired nightclubs: Trouw and Canvas.

Great cozy apartment for 2 people, we were 4 of us and we were very good, as there is a sofa bed. Equipped with all the amenities. It also comes with the detergent, toilet paper and various household products. Excellent location in a quiet area, a 15 min tram ride to get downtown. To improve the garden as it is very neglected, basically a jungla.Per the rest all ok Recommended!

Studio Deluxe in "de Pijp"

En fin leilighet i et hyggelig strøk.
Meget bratte trapper opp til leiligheten, som viste tradisjonell bygging i Amsterdam.
En fantastisk god restaurant i 1. Etasjen.

Studio Deluxe in "de Pijp"

Studio Deluxe in "de Pijp"

The apartment's location is good. We don't know Amsterdam a lot but we have rented better apartments in other European cities for less. The apartment was as the pictures we can see on the web but there were some simple maintanence details which haven't been done (disjointed curtains, the broken door knob, not enough glasses for the three people we were.....).

Beautiful Houseboat Energy

The time we spent in Amsterdam and the experience of living in a house-boat for 4 days has been just amazing. Something we are not going to forget ever. We highly recommend it if you have kids as we do but also if you want to do it just with your partner. The location where the house-boat were was great at a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful small streets with many leisure venues. The company renting this place works very well. They met us at the time agreed and the way we have chosen (everything online) to give us the keys. Also they went through all the details needed sharing all the information we might need to make sure our stay were fantastic in a nice and “casual-friendly” way. We did not have any inconvenient and the last day they showed up on-time so we could return the keys wishing we could stay longer. We will go back to Amsterdam for sure and definitely we will repeat with this company again.

Beautiful Houseboat Energy

Lovely accomodation perfectly located and an ideal size for our family of three.

The houseboat is just 2 minutes from a crossroad for the trams going north/south and east/west (Central station was just over 5 minutes on the tram, Ledseplein /museum quarter also no more than 10 minutes away). It is on a canal slightly further out than the really touristy ones so the irritating river crusises that seem to go from dawn to dusk on the inner canals do not come past full of tourists. There is some minimal boat traffic that seemed more to be like working traffic and locals and thankfully not noisy party boats full of tourists. The boat isn't really overlooked on the river side so you can open your windows and not worry about people seeing in. There is a corner mini-market literally accross the road (which has a bountiful supply of fresh pastry, artisan beer and other essentials!) and a supermarket 3 minutes walk further down. My son also wanted me to say that the houseboat is a 10 minutes walking distance from a really lovely swimming pool (that looks onto the canal).

The boat itself is well equiped. Power shower was very welcome and had good pressure! Coffee maker was also welcome. We added a bottle opener as there wasn't one in the tool drawer! Only downside if you are more than 2 people is that there are currently no blinds in the main living area so if you use the sofa bed you can't block out the light.

It is in a very peaceful location, you do almost forget that you are in the middle of a city. We had a family of Coots (meerkoeten!!!) who would cheep outside the window until they had some leftover croisant!..my son enjoyed feeding them very much. There is a little bit of noise from the fire station on the other side of the canal but this was no more than a few times during our stay. Plus the trams rumble over the bridge (you soon forget this I promise).

the ladies in the office were very helpful and full of advice. Checkin/out was easy and on our last day they very kindly stored our bags so that we could cram a bit more sightseeing in without dragging our luggage around. Thankyou!

It is a really lovely way to experience Amsterdam. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and we will be back!

Funky Houseboat on Central Canal

We had a great time on the house boat. Very nice communication in front of our arrival, all needed informations were given pretty fast. 15 minutes after our call the host made the check in in with us very fast. On our last day we were allowed to store our luggage in the office near the Centraal Station until our train went to airport late afternoon.

On the boat everything is absoluty ok, more than enough space for 4 people in our party. Coffe and tea is on the boat. A supermarket and a Deli is each one block away, a nice coffee and a bagel shop directly on the corner.

The boat is located very near to the improtant landmarks, like Dam, Night Streets and Jordaan. The tram is a 5 minute walk and just 5 stations to the Centraal.

We can recommand the stay - this was not our last visit :-).
